Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Level 1:

Echo of Endless Flame

When you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points, you gain temporary hit points equal to:

Your Charisma modifier + your warlock level

Additionally, once per turn when you deal damage with a warlock spell or cantrip, you may change the damage type to your Draconic Echo damage type (from your racial feature).

This feature intentionally parallels Dark One’s Blessing but ties survival to draconic resonance rather than demonic reward.

Level 1:

Reincarnant Soulbrand

Your patron brands your soul across lifetimes.

When you fail a saving throw, you may add 1d6 to the result after seeing the roll but before knowing the outcome.

You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses on a long rest.

This stacks cleanly with the Aeternis Drakonid reroll feature without replacing it.

Level 6:

Draconic Retribution

Your patron answers injury with annihilation.

When you take damage from a creature you can see within 60 feet, you may use your reaction to force that creature to make a Dexterity saving throw against your warlock spell save DC.

On a failure, the creature takes:

2d10 damage of your Draconic Echo damage type

Half damage on a success.

You may use this feature once per short or long rest.

Direct Fiend parallel to Dark One’s Own Luck + Hurl Through Hell themes, but reactive instead of punitive exile.

Level 10:

Wyrm-Soul Resilience

Your soul has learned how to survive death badly.

You gain resistance to one additional damage type of your choice from the following:

Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, Thunder, or Necrotic.

Additionally, when you succeed on a saving throw against being frightened or charmed, you may immediately deal psychic or force damage equal to your Charisma modifier to the source (no action required).

At this tier, the warlock begins to feel inhumanly persistent.

Level 14:

Ascendant Cataclysm

Your patron briefly aligns your soul with its perfected future.

When you hit a creature with a warlock spell or reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you may force that creature (or one creature within 20 feet) to make a Constitution saving throw.

On a failure, the creature:

  • Takes 10d10 damage of your Draconic Echo damage type
  • Is frightened of you until the end of your next turn

On a success:

  • Takes half damage
  • Is not frightened

Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.

The Ascended Wyrm lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell.
