Base Class: Druid

Nature’s Strongest Beasts Hunt Together

The Circle of the Pack is one who harnesses the strengths of their Wild Companions working together to achieve their goals. A Druid in this subclass is the best at scouting, and building a pack to fight, move and change the battlefield in their favor.

Level 3: Circle of the Pack Spells

When you reach a Druid level specified in the Circle of the Pack Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Level 3: Pack Mentality

Whenever you use your Wild Shape feature and are changing into a creature of CR 0, you may also use your Wild Companion feature to summon the same creature without the use of a Wild Shape or spell slot (no Action required). The Wild Companion shares your initiative count and acts immediately after you. If the creature has a Flying Speed, you may not select that creature until you reach Druid level 8. The base CR for the Pack Mentality feature is increased to CR ½ at level 6, CR 1 at level 10, and CR 2 at level 14.

(Homebrew Note: If this core feature slows down gameplay at your table during combat, try these easy tips: Set Initiative- Place the Initiative of the Beasts separate from the player at Initiative count 1, 10 or 20, or following another player initiative (Allows for more thinking of actions in between turns). Set Damage- Use the average damage roll for the creatures instead of rolling damage dice.)

Level 6: Enhanced Wild Companion

Whenever your Wild Companion feature is used, you may summon 2 of the same creature.

Additionally, while a Wild Companion is within 5 feet of a creature, you and your other Wild Companions have Advantage on all attack rolls against that creature.

Level 10: Better Together

Using a Bonus Action, you may choose to teleport to any of your Wild Companions that you can see within 60 feet. Instead, you can choose to teleport your Wild Companions within 60 feet of you that you can see, to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of you.

You may use Better Together a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (Minimum of 1). Recharging all expended uses upon a Long Rest and one use on a Short Rest.

Level 14: Call of the Great Pack

Once per Long Rest, using your Action, you can summon an ethereal manifestation of your primal lineage — a Spectral Pack of beasts that rally around you emanating for 30 feet.

The area emanating around you becomes difficult terrain for creatures of your choosing.

You and creatures of your choice have Advantage on attack rolls while within the area.

The pack lasts for 1 minute or until you lose Concentration (as if concentrating on a spell).
