Whatever Falls Into Your Hand Will Do Nicely

Always remember anything can be used as a weapon. And these monks have trained to rely not on a single weapon but opt to turn any object they hold into a formidable arc of destruction. Specializing in limitless versatility, these monks eventually learn to use all weapons proficiently and even turn their enemies weapons against them. Knowing how to adapt quickly and improvise intelligently is their motto.

Improvised Expert

3rd-level Warrior of Pugilism feature

Put an item in your hand and chances are you know how to turn it into a deadly weapon. You are proficient with Improvised Weapons and they can be considered Monk weapons to you. Depending on whether you are wielding an Improvised Weapon One-Handed or Two-Handed, it has the having the following weapon properties listed below.

One-Handed: Light, Thrown (Range 20/60)
Two-Handed: Reach, Thrown (Range 10/30)

In addition, choose one of the following Mastery properties from the One-Handed or Two-Handed list. You can select an additional mastery for both One-Handed or Two-Handed when you reach 11th level in this class. You can change these selections when you finish a Long Rest.

One-Handed: Sap, Slow, Vex
Two-Handed: Cleave, Push, Topple

Cleave

If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.

Push

If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can push the creature up to 10 feet straight away from yourself if it is Large or smaller.

Sap

If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.

Slow

If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.

Topple

If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.

Vex

If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.

Breaking Point

3rd-level Warrior of Pugilism feature

Some things are made to be broken. When you make an attack roll with an Improvised Weapon, you can choose to break the item. You deal an additional 1d6 damage on a hit. This damage becomes a 1d8 when you reach 11th level in this class.

Purloin Enemy

6th-level Warrior of Pugilism feature

You can swiftly disarm and rearm yourself. Once per turn, whenever you hit a creature with an Unarmed Strike or Monk weapon, you can force a creature to make a Dexterity saving throw. On a fail, one object of your choice that the creature is holding or carrying is now equipped by you. You must have a free hand to use this feature and the object can’t be something being worn.

If you start your turn holding a weapon you lack proficiency with, you can roll a DC 15 Wisdom check (no action). On a success, for 1 minute you gain proficiency with that weapon, consider it as a Monk weapon, and use the chosen Mastery properties from Improvised Expert with the weapon.

Beyond Brutal

6th-level Warrior of Pugilism feature

Violence should be for everyone and everything. Whenever you deal damage with an Improvised Weapon, it can deal your choice of Force damage or its normal damage type.

Property Damage

11th-level Warrior of Pugilism feature

You learn how to destroy weapons expertly. When you score a Critical Hit with a weapon or Improvised Weapon, you can choose to destroy the object to double the total damage dealt by the attack.

Ruthless Brute

17th-level Warrior of Pugilism feature

You bring your brutality to its peak. You gain the following benefits.

Superior Improvised Strikes. When you take the Attack action and hit a creature with an Improvised Weapon, you can make one additional attack with an Improvised Weapon as part of that action. In addition, you can use both Mastery properties you selected from the One-Handed or Two-Handed list when you hit a target with an Improvised Weapon.

Incredible Finesse. If the weapon you are holding is magical from your Purloin Enemy feature and you succeed on your Wisdom check, you additionally can instantly attune to the weapon and ignore all class, race, spell and level requirements on attuning to or using the magic weapon.
