Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians who walk the Path of the Raven are not merely engines of rage — they are harbingers. Their fury does not burn bright and vanish; it marks, waits, and returns with interest.
In battle, these warriors draw hostility as naturally as blood draws flies. Enemies feel emboldened to strike them, sensing a fleeting advantage, unaware that each blow places another unseen mark upon their soul. Those who attack a Raven barbarian grow reckless — their blows sharpened against the marked warrior alone, even as their aim falters when turned upon others.
Ravens fight with grim patience. Each wound leaves a lingering omen, a spectral weight that clings to their foes like shadowed feathers. Enemies may not fall immediately — but they feel watched, measured, and counted.
When the Raven is struck, the prophecy resolves. Rage erupts outward in violent cascades as stored wrath is claimed, detonated, and spread. Those already marked suffer fully; those nearby feel the omen pass to them, carried on unseen wings.
To face a Raven is to learn a terrible truth:
surviving the first blow does not mean you are safe.
Level 3: Raven’s Omen:
While raging, you invite the attention of death itself.
-
Any creature within 15 feet of you that hits you with a weapon attack or deals damage to you with a spell attack gains 1 Raven Mark for each attack or damage instance.
-
A creature with one or more Raven Marks gains a bonus to attack rolls against you only equal to half your Proficiency Bonus (rounded down).
-
This bonus applies only against you and does not affect attacks against other creatures.
Passive Detonation
-
Whenever a creature accumulates 4 Raven Marks, the marks immediately detonate.
-
Damage: The creature takes Force damage equal to the number of Raven Marks × your Rage Damage Bonus.
-
After detonation, that creature’s Raven Marks reset to 0.
Leaving the Omen
-
If a creature with Raven Marks ends its turn outside your 15-foot aura, it loses 1 Raven Mark per round spent outside the aura.
Level 6: Marked for Doom:
You may claim up to your Proficiency Bonus (PB) creatures.
-
Claimed creatures:
-
Continue accumulating Raven Marks stacks even outside your aura.
-
Do not take damage automatically. You may trigger their stacks as a bonus action, dealing Force damage = Raven Marks stacks × Rage Damage Bonus.
-
Stacks are removed after being triggered.
-
-
Unclaimed creatures:
-
Continue accumulating Raven Marks stacks in your aura.
-
Automatic detonation occurs every 4 Raven Marks stacks, dealing Force damage = Raven Marks stacks × Rage Damage Bonus.
-
Stacks reset after detonation.
-
Raven’s Interference:
Raven Marks Interference
-
Only claimed creatures with Raven Marks stacks are affected.
-
These creatures take –1 to attack rolls against targets other than you per 3 Raven Marks stacks (minimum –1, maximum –3).
-
Applies only to weapon and spell attack rolls
-
Attacks made against you are unaffected.
Raven Marks Conversion
-
When you take damage from a creature with Raven Marks stacks, you may use your reaction to reduce that damage.
-
Choose one attacking creature with Raven Marks stacks and expend any number of its stacks.
-
Damage reduction: Raven Marks stacks spent × Rage Damage Bonus.
-
Spent stacks are removed from the chosen creature.
-
Must be raging to use this feature.
-
To deal more Raven Marks damage later, stacks must be re-accumulated.
Level 14: Ravenfall:
Ravenfall
-
When a claimed creature with Raven Marks stacks deals damage to you, you may use your reaction to trigger all of its Raven Marks stacks immediately:
-
Damage: Wrath stacks × Rage Damage Bonus (Force damage)
-
Stacks are removed after detonation.
-
-
Secondary effect:
-
Every other creature with Raven Marks stacks takes half of the damage they would normally take from their remaining stacks.
-
Remove half of their remaining stacks (rounded up).
-
-
Cascading effect:
-
Any creature that does not currently have Raven Marks stacks but is within 10 feet of any triggered creature gains half of the remaining stacks (rounded down) from the triggered creature(s).
-

Only creatures with at least 1 Raven Marks stack are affected in the secondary effect.
