Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Paladins who take up the Oath of Innovation are those who will improve the world through their magic and engineering. Always moving society forward, and never looking to the past. Paladins who take up this oath gain significant knowledge and expertise in creation. This oath may manifest in dark ways, as the mistakes of the past may be neglected, only looking to the future for guidance.

Level 3: Level 3: Greater Knowledge

You gain the following benefits.

Bonus Proficiencies: You gain proficiency with Tinkerer’s Tools and 2 other tools of your choice. You also gain proficiency with the Arcana skill. If you already have proficiency with that skill, you may choose a different skill to gain proficiency with instead.

Enhanced Mind: You may use your Charisma modifier in place of your Intelligence modifier whenever you make a d20 test or use a feature that uses Intelligence.

You gain the following spells at the levels listed. You always have them prepared, and they don’t count against the number of spells you have prepared.

Level 3: Level 3: Innovative Item

At the start of your turn, you may expend a use of your Channel Divinity to enhance a weapon you are holding or a suit of armor you are wearing. The effects last for 1 minute or until you use this feature again.

Weapon: The weapon deals Force damage, and whenever you cast Divine Smite using the weapon, the target is inflicted with one of the following conditions of your choice: Charmed, Frightened, Poisoned, or Prone. The condition lasts until the start of your next turn, unless it would otherwise end early (like a creature standing up from being Prone).

Armor: While wearing the armor, you gain Resistance to two damage types of your choice excluding Force, Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing. Your movement speed also increases by 10 feet.

Level 7: Level 7: Aura of Brilliance

Any friendly creatures within your Aura of Protection become Resistant to Psychic damage, and gain Advantage on Initiative rolls.

Level 15: Level 15: Genius Magic

You gain the following benefits.

Enhanced Concentration: When you cast a spell listed in the Oath of Innovation Spells table that requires Concentration, you may modify the spell so that it doesn't require Concentration. Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.

Enhanced Offense: When you deal damage with Divine Smite, or a spell listed in the Oath of Innovation Spells table, you may add your Intelligence modifier to the damage rolled.

Level 20: Level 20: Form of Genius

As a Bonus Action, you enter a form where your mind and innovative nature become unmatched. You gain the following benefits, which last for 10 minutes. Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.

Absolute Brilliance: Whenever you roll a d20 test using Intelligence or Charisma, you may treat any roll on the d20 of a 14 or lower as a 15.

Genius Bombardment: Whenever you cast Divine Smite, you may cast Magic Missile, Shatter, or Lightning Bolt as part of the same Bonus Action. You must expend the spell slot for both spells.
