Artificer
Base Class: Artificer

A Arcane Blacksmith doesn’t enchant weapons in advance, they summon, forge, and reshape magical weapons on the battlefield, bending raw arcane force into steel. Their creations are temporary, brutal, and finely suited for the fight at hand.

Tool Proficiency

3rd-level Blacksmith feature

You gain proficiency with smith’s tools. If you already have this tool proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan’s tools of your choice.

Arcane Blacksmith Spells

3rd-level Arcane Blacksmith feature

You always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Blacksmith Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Spirit Forge

3rd-level Arcane Blacksmith feature

As a bonus action, you forge a Spirit Weapon in an empty hand or replace a weapon you are holding. The weapon is magical It counts as a weapon of your choice (melee or ranged) It gains a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls It lasts for 1 hour, until dismissed, or until you create another Spirit Weapon Uses.

You can create a Spirit Weapon a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses on a long rest. The bonus becomes +2 at 9th level and +3 at 15th level.

Arcane Weapon

3rd-level Arcane Blacksmith feature

Your arcane weapon uses Intelligence instead of Strength or Dexterity for attack and damage rolls and the weapon counts as an arcane focus for your artificer spells.

You can customize your Arcane Weapon made from your spirit forge. When you do so, choose one of the following weapon models:

Spirit Sword

1d8 slashing (versatile 1d10)

When you miss an attack, you gain +1 to your next attack roll before the end of your next turn


Spirit Hammer

1d10 bludgeoning

On hit, you may reduce the target’s AC by 1 until the start of your next turn (once per turn)


Spirit Spear

1d8 piercing, reach

Opportunity attacks with this weapon reduce the target’s speed to 0 for the rest of the turn


Spirit Bow

1d8 piercing, range 80/320

Attacks ignore half cover


Spirit Glaive

1d10 slashing, reach

When you hit a creature, another creature within 5 ft of it takes damage equal to half the damage dealt (once per turn)


Spirit Dagger

1d4 piercing, finesse, light, thrown (30/60)

You can make one additional attack with this weapon as a bonus action as if you had two daggers

Extra Attack

5th-level Armorer feature

You can attack twice, rather than once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Modular Weaponry

9th-level Arcane Blacksmith feature

When you create a Spirit Weapon, choose one modifications from your known modifications. You can change these each time you forge a weapon.

You know 2 modifications at level 9, and another one at level 15

Balanced

Gain advantage on opportunity attacks made with your arcane weapon

Duellist’s Brand

Once per turn, when you hit a creature that has no allies within 5 feet, deal +1d8 damage 

Only works for the Sword, Spear and Dagger arcane weapons

Elemental Edge

Arcane Weapon deals +1d4 acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder damage

Hook

Once per turn, on hit, force a Strength save or pull the target up to 15 ft towards you.

Overcharged

Once per turn, on a hit, deal extra damage equal to your Intelligence modifier

Phantom Dagger

Thrown spirit daggers instantly return to its users hand after hit, or miss

Only works with Spirit Dagger

 

Sunder Mark

Once per turn, when you hit an object, construct, or creature wearing heavy armor, deal double damage dice

Only works with the Spirit Hammer

Perfected Forge

15th-level Arcane Blacksmith feature

Your Arcane Weapons gain additional benefits, as shown below.

You can have up to three spirit weapons active at a time

You gain an extra weapon mod, and can equip up to two mods on 1 weapon at a time

When you (re)forge a weapon as a bonus action, you can immidiatly make an attack with it

When an enemy is reduced to 0 hp by a spirit weapon made by you, you may immidiatly reforge that weapon, changing its type and mods
