Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

You have focused your skills in the service of a church or religious organization. You are granted divine powers to eliminate enemies of your order. Some shadowbane stalkers prefer to work in the background, gathering information to report to their superiors while others end up taking a more hands on approach.

Spellcasting

When you reach 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast spells. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the cleric spell list.

Cantrips

You learn two cantrips of your choice from the cleric spell list. You learn another cleric cantrip of your choice at 10th level.

Spell Slots

The Shadowbane Stalker Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

For example, if you know the 1st-level spell cure wounds and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast cure wounds using either slot.

Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher

You know three 1st-level cleric spells of your choice.

The Spells Known column of the Shadowbane Stalker Spellcasting table shows when you learn more cleric spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.

Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the cleric spells you know with another spell of your choice from the cleric spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots.

Spellcasting Ability

Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for your cleric spells, since the power of your spells comes from your devotion to your deity. You use your Wisdom whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Wisdom modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a cleric spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier

Inquisition

Starting at 3rd level, you are adept at rooting out outsiders among ordinary people. You can cast detect evil and good as a bonus action without expending a spell slot.

In addition you may use your sneak attack against targets you are currently detecting with detect evil and good even if you don’t have advantage on the attack roll, but not if you have disadvantage on it.

Channel Divnity

Upon reaching 9th level, you can channel the power of your deity to enhance your abilities.

When you use your Channel Divinity, you choose which option to use. You must then finish a short or long rest to use your Channel Divinity again.

Marked for Death

You can use your Channel Divinity to pass judgement on your foes. As a bonus action, choose one creature you are aware of within 60 feet of you. For 1 minute, you have advantage on Wisdom skill checks related to that creature and your sneak attack deals radiant damage to it instead of its normal damage type.

Sacred Stealth

You can use your Channel Divinity to enhance your ability to be unseen. As an action, you grant yourself advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks for 10 minutes.

Focused Inquisition

At 13th level, you have learned to find any apostate, not just supernatural ones. You may cast locate creature as a bonus action without expending a spell slot. You may use this ability 3 times and you regain expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Sacred Strike

When you reach 17th level, you gain an additional Channel Divinity option

Sacred Strike

You can Channel Divinity to smite those who oppose you. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you may use your Channel Divinity to deal additional damage equal to your sneak attack damage to them.
