Base Class: Monk
Not all monasteries seek enlightenment through inner peace. In the silent archives of lost civilizations and the maddening whispers of the void, the Warriors of Forbidden Knowledge find their strength. Unlike their kin who seek to perfect the body and mind they already have, these ascetics fracture their own spirits to let the raw, chaotic Weave bleed through in hopes of becoming something more. They are the keepers of dangerous secrets, martial artists who have learned that by weaving cosmic truths into their martial arts, they warp the battlefield, twisting reality with every strike.
Far Projection
3rd-level Warrior of Forbidden Knowledge feature
Your biology and psyche unravel to accommodate the chaotic Weave, granting you a physical and mental reach that defies logical limits. Your limbs warp and elongate when you strike, permanently increasing your reach with Unarmed Strikes and Monk weapons by 5 feet. Your fractured mind allows you to communicate telepathically with any creature you can see within 60 feet, which understands your utterances even if you do not share a language. You can also speak, read, and write Deep Speech.
Level 6: Gibbering Presence
6th-level Warrior of Forbidden Knowledge feature
As a Bonus Action, you can spend 1 Focus Point to emit a 15-foot emanation of maddening whispers for 1 minute. The area within is Difficult Terrain for your enemies. Any enemy that starts its turn in the area must succeed on a Wisdom Save or roll a d4: 1–2, it does nothing; 3, it moves in a random direction; 4, it makes one melee attack against a random creature in reach.
Level 11: Unfathomable Image
11th-level Warrior of Forbidden Knowledge feature
Your mind emits a constant dissonance. You are immune to the Frightened and Charmed conditions, and your thoughts cannot be read by any means unless you allow it. You have Resistance to Psychic damage, and whenever a creature deals Psychic damage to you, that creature takes the same amount of damage that you take.
Once on each of your turns, when you take a Bonus Action, you can momentarily reveal your spirit's true nature to one creature within 30 feet as part of that action. It must succeed on a Wisdom Saving Throw or be Charmed or Frightened (your choice) by you until the start of your next turn with its Speed reduced to 0.
Level 17: Embodiment of Madness
17th-level Warrior of Forbidden Knowledge feature
As an Action, you can spend 5 Focus Points to transform into a Far Realm horror for a number of minutes equal to your Wisdom modifier. While transformed, you gain the following benefits:
Flesh-Warping Strikes. When you reduce a creature to 0 HP with an Unarmed Strike, it explodes into a Gibbering Mouther under your control. It takes its turn immediately after yours. When the Gibbering Mouther is reduced to 0 HP, it implodes back into the creature it exploded from; that creature remains at 0 HP and is Unconscious.
Maddening Presence. You grow by one size category. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you when you transform must make a Wisdom save. On a Failed save, the creature is frightened until the start of your next turn and must spend its turn moving away from you in the fastest most direct way. On a successful save, the creature can't move closer to you until the end of the current turn.
Multi-Maw Flurry. When you use your Flurry of Blows, you make three Unarmed Strikes as part of that Bonus Action instead of two.
Devouring Bite. Once per turn on a hit with an Unarmed Strike, you deal extra Force damage equal to two rolls of your Martial Arts die and regain HP equal to the Force damage dealt.
