Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Some mundane warriors have dedicated their training to countering the many advantages that spellcasters would have over them. Whether they fight a specific magical threat, or simply wish to even the odds for those less magically inclined, all spellbreakers all aim to prove that you shouldn't bring a wand to a sword fight.

Antimagic Training

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain Mage Slayer as a bonus feat as well as proficiency in Arcana.

Additionally, if you are wearing a shield, you can add your shield AC bonus to Dexterity saving throws you make to avoid the effects of a spell. This does not stack with Shield Master.

Finally, when you succeed in a Dexterity saving throw against a spell that would deal half damage on a successful save, you instead take no damage.

Arcane Vigilance

Beginning at 7th level, when you are targeted by a spell, you can use your reaction to add you proficiency bonus to your AC or saving throw to resist the spell's effects. If you successfully avoid the effects of a spell using this feature, you can also move half your speed toward the caster of the spell as part of this reaction.

Due to your intense training and exposure to the arcane, you've gained an intuitive sense for the presence of magic. You can cast Detect Magic at will.

Unrelenting Focus

At 10th level, you can see through beguiling magic and interrupt magical movement. You are not affected by the spells Mirror Image and Blur. When a creature within 5 feet teleports, enters the Ethereal Plane, or otherwise uses a spell to change locations, and you hit it with your attack reaction granted by Mage Slayer, the creature must make a Constitution saving throw or the spell fails.

Arcane Exploit

Starting at 15th level, when a creatures misses you with a spell or you succeed in a saving throw against a spell, you gain advantage on the next attack roll you make against that creature before the end of its next turn.

Spell Break

At 18th level, when you hit a creature with the reaction attack granted by Mage Slayer, the creature must make a Constitution saving throw or the triggering spell fails.
