Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of the Forge binds a paladin to the anvil. Often coming from a working background, particularly blacksmiths, these paladins pride themselves in forging powerful artefacts as well as powerful relationships. Their passion for their craft often gains them respect from the working class and nobleman alike, and the paladins are sworn to protect them no matter the cost.
Level 3: Oath of the Forge Spell
The magic of your oath ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Paladin level specified in the Oath of Devotion Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Paladin Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | identify, Shield of Faith |
| 5 | heat metal, warding bond |
| 9 | glyph of warding, protection from energy |
| 13 | elemental bane, fire shield |
| 17 | animate objects, creation |
Level 3: Eyes of Steel
When you take the Attack action, you can expend one use of your Channel Divinity to make a Wisdom (perception) check (the DC is equal to the target's AC). On a success, you gain advantage for the next attack against this target.
Level 3: Blacksmith's Best Friend
For 1 hour, every long rest, you can summon a magical anvil. You can use this magical anvil, as if you are in the best workshop.
Level 7: Aura of Armour
Starting at 7th level, you and all friendly creature within 10 feet of you gain +1 AC while you are conscious.
Level 15: Armour Expert
At 15th level, you become an expert in armours. You gain resistance to slashing, piercing and bludgeoning damage from non-magical attacks. You also gain proficiency with all armour types.
Forged in Fire
Starting at 20th level, as an action, you can become an avatar of the forge for 1 minute, wielding molten armour that surrounds you and any friendly creatures within 30 ft. The armour grants resistance to all damage.
You may only use this feature once per long rest.
