Druid
Base Class: Druid

Some Druidic circles focus on the ancient power of the material plane of Dragons. Bordering the liminal space of magical and natural creatures, joining this circle will make you a catalyst of both worlds.

Circle of the Dragon Spells

When you reach a Druid level specified in the Circle of the Dragon Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Dragon Form

The rites of your circle grant you the ability to transform into dragons. Starting at 3rd level, pick a type of dragon, Chromatic or Metallic. Then, pick one of the choices from that type.

  • Chromatic: Red, Blue, Green, Black, White
  • Metallic: Gold, Silver, Copper, Bronze, Brass

When you Wild Shape you can assume a Dragon Form. Your Dragon Form is a dragon wyrmling based on your previous choices in this feature. Your Dragon Form doesn't count against your number of Wild Shape forms. You follow all of the normal rules with Wild Shape, but you also have the following changes when you assume your Dragon Form:

  • You use your Druid DC for any DC in any dragon stat block.
  • You cannot fly.
  • You cannot use Legendary Resistances.
  • You can only use Breath actions once per Wild Shape, and can only use a Breath that deals damage.
  • The maximum number of damage dice your Breath actions can deal is equal to your Druid level.
  • You cannot use Spellcasting from a dragon stat block.
  • You cannot use Legendary Actions.
  • You cannot use Regional Effects.

Additionally, you can expend a spell slot when you turn into a dragon in order to turn into an older variant.

  • 3rd level Spell Slot - Young Dragon
  • 6th Level Spell Slot - Adult Dragon
  • 9th Level Spell Slot - Ancient Dragon

Enhanced Dragon Form

At 6th level, your attacks in Dragon Form count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. Additionally, using Wild Shape to assume your Dragon Form now lasts a number of hours equal to your Druid Level.

Greater Dragon Form

At 10th level, you can use the fly speed of your Dragon Form. Using Wild Shape to assume your Dragon Form now lasts a number of hours equal to twice your Druid Level.

Additionally, you gain a benefit based on your choice of Chromatic or Metallic at 3rd level:

  • Chromatic: While in your Dragon Form, when you use a Breath action, you can expend a spell slot to increase the number of damage dice by the spell slot level.
  • Metallic: You can use breath attacks that do not deal damage. You can use each breath attack in a dragon stat block once per Wild Shape each.

True Dragon

At 14th level, your Dragon Form's Breath action now recharges on a short or long rest. Using Wild Shape to assume a Dragon Form no longer has a duration.

Additionally, you gain a benefit based on your choice of Chromatic or Metallic at 3rd level:

  • Chromatic: When you Wild Shape into your Dragon Form, you now gain temporary hit points equal to three times your level. If you finish a short or long rest while in your Dragon Form for the duration of the rest, you regain these temporary hit points.
  • Metallic: You can now cast your Druid spells, up to 4th level, while in your Dragon Form
