Base Class: Monk
Those who follow the Way of the Webslinger see motion
as meditation. They move with impossible speed, grace,
and instinct — guided not by thought, but by pure
intuition. These monks learn to channel their ki into
strands of spiritual silk, binding, pulling, and leaping
through the world with almost supernatural ease.
They are protectors of the helpless and terrors of the
wicked, striking from walls, ceilings, and the unseen
spaces between.
Level 3: Web Step Technique
Web Swing. As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki
point to move up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space
you can see. You do not provoke opportunity attacks
during this movement and ignore difficult terrain.
If you end this movement adjacent to a creature, you
may make one unarmed strike as part of the same
bonus action.
Wall Crawler. You can move up, down, and across
vertical surfaces and upside down along ceilings,
while leaving your hands free.
“I once watched a disciple leap from wall to wall
without touching the floor — the world itself became his
training ground.”
— Callidus Veil
Wall Crawler.
You can move up, down, and across
vertical surfaces and upside down along ceilings,
while leaving your hands free.
Level 6: Spider’s Sense
You gain advantage on Dexterity saving throws
against effects you can see, such as traps or spells.
When a creature you can see makes an attack roll
against you, you may use your reaction to impose
disadvantage on that attack.
You can use this reaction a number of times equal to
your Wisdom modifier (minimum once), and you
regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Level 11: Ki Webs
As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to shoot a web
of ki toward a creature within 30 feet. The target must
succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be restrained
until the start of your next turn.
While restrained this way, the creature can make
another Dexterity saving throw at the end of its turns to
escape.
You can also use this ability to pull objects weighing up
to 300 pounds toward you or yourself toward a solid
surface.
Additional Option: If you hit a creature with two
unarmed strikes on your turn, you may automatically
activate Ki Webs against that creature without using an
action (still costs 2 ki points).
“He struck, missed, and yet the air itself caught his foe
— threads of unseen light weaving justice in motion.”
— Callidus Veil
Level 17: Flurry of Motion
When you use Flurry of Blows, you may make three
unarmed strikes instead of two.
When a creature misses you with an attack, you may
immediately move up to 10 feet without provoking
opportunity attacks.
As a bonus action, you can spend 3 ki points to gain
the effects of haste until the end of your next turn (no
concentration required).
Callidus’s Closing Thought: “The master once vanished
into a blur of strikes and silk. When I blinked, the fight
was over — and he was already halfway up the tower.”
