Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Riftstalkers are rogues who learned to live where reality is thin. Smugglers, scouts, assassins, and survivors who slip through planar scars the way others use alleyways. Some are hired by cities to map fractures. Others hunt things that crawl out of them. A few… listen to what whispers back.

“If reality’s already broken, why not step where the cracks are?”

Level 3: Fracture Step

Fracture Step

  • When you take the Cunning Action (Dash, Disengage, or Hide), you may teleport 10 feet to an unoccupied space you can see.

  • This teleport:

    • Does not provoke opportunity attacks

    • Can pass through creatures, but not solid objects

  • Uses per long rest = proficiency bonus

  • Within 30 feet of a planar fracture or bleed, teleport distance becomes 15 feet.

Level 3: Fracture Sense

You’ve learned to feel when reality thins.

  • You always know if you are within 60 feet of:

    • A planar fracture

    • A bleed-through zone

    • A creature that originated from another plane

  • This does not reveal location or identity — only presence.

Additionally:

  • You gain advantage on Survival checks to navigate unstable terrain.

Level 3: Seam Exploiter

When you strike where reality is weak, it hurts more.

  • Once per turn, when you deal Sneak Attack damage, you may reroll one Sneak Attack die, taking the new result.

  • If the target is affected by planar magic or not native to Valrénne, you may reroll two dice instead.

Level 9: Predator of the Unstable

You refine your instincts into a hunter’s edge.

  • Once per turn, you may change the damage type of your Sneak Attack dice to:

    • Force

    • Psychic

    • Necrotic

    • Radiant

AND

  • You gain advantage on initiative rolls when combat begins near planar instability.

  • You cannot be surprised by creatures that originated from another plane.

Level 13: Reality Slip

Reaction Feature:

  • When hit, reduce damage (resistance) and teleport 30 feet

  • PB uses per long rest

Passive Addition:

  • Opportunity attacks against you are made at disadvantage if you moved at least 10 feet on your turn.

Level 17: Seam Execution

Once per long rest, when you hit with Sneak Attack:

  • Target makes a Constitution save

  • Failure:

    • Double Sneak Attack damage

    • Banished until end of your next turn

  • Success:

    • Normal Sneak Attack damage

    • Restrained until end of your next turn

Planar Interaction:

  • Aspects, planar entities, and Ninefold Mask creations have disadvantage

  • Native Valrénne creatures have advantage
