It takes great courage to smile from the bottom of your heart, especially when the world is literally ending around you. But there is joy to be found in every moment, and Oath of Celebration Paladins use that joy to drive away the darkness of despair at every turn!

These paladins share the following tenants:

  • Inspire others to live as their true selves!
  • Never let anyone spoil your fun!

Level 3: Oath of Celebration Spells

The magic of your oath ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Paladin level specified in the Oath of Celebration Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Level 3: Winning Personality

You face every adversity with a courageous smile, granting you the following benefits.

Banish Fright. You can expend 5 Hit Points from your Lay on Hands pool to remove the Frightened condition from a creature, instead of restoring their Hit Points.

Performance Proficiency. You gain proficiency in Performance or, if you are already proficient in that skill, another skill of your choice from the list of those available to Paladins at level 1.

Thunderwave Smite. You may cast Thunderwave as a Bonus Action without Somatic components if you do so immediately after hitting a target with a Melee weapon or Unarmed Strike. The struck creature must be inside the spell's area of effect.

Paladin Proficiency

You gain proficiency in a skill of your choice from the list of those available to Paladins at level 1.

Performance Proficiency

You are proficient in Performance.

Level 3: Strike a Pose

As a Bonus Action, you can transmit Hit Points from your Lay on Hands pool to nearby creatures through the power of dance and song. Choose a DC higher than 0 and roll Charisma (Performance). On a failure, no creatures are healed and your Hit Points are not expended. On a success, you may distribute Hit Points to creatures of your choice within 30 feet that are not Unconscious, which can include you. You can distribute up to twice your chosen DC worth of Hit Points, and they may be divided amongst the chosen creatures however you like.

Level 7: Boogie Woogie

When you are within 5 feet of a creature on your turn, you can switch places with that creature, provided you spend at least 5 feet of movement and the creature is willing and does not have the Incapacitated condition. This movement does not provoke Opportunity Attacks. You may expend one use of your Channel Divinity when using this feature to grant you and the other creature a bonus to your ACs equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum +1) until the start of your next turn.

Level 15: All Night Long

You gain Expertise in Performance and, when you roll Charisma (Performance) to Strike a Pose, any result higher than 20 restores a number of Hit Points to your Lay on Hands pool equal to your Paladin level.

Level 20: Joyful Liberator

This party won't be dying with you around! As a Bonus Action, you gain the benefits below for 10 minutes or until you end this effect (no action required). Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a Long Rest. You can also restore your use of it by expending a level 5 spell slot (no action required).

Charismatic. Your unfettered confidence grants you Advantage on all Charisma checks.

Dynamic Pose. You can distribute up to all of the Hit Points remaining in your Lay on Hands pool when you successfully Strike a Pose, and you increase that feature's range to 60 feet.

Destructive Smite. You may cast Destructive Wave as a Bonus Action if you do so immediately after hitting a target with a Melee weapon or Unarmed Strike.

Activate Joyful Liberator

This party won't be dying with you around! As a Bonus Action, you gain the benefits below for 10 minutes or until you end this effect (no action required). Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a Long Rest. You can also restore your use of it by expending a level 5 spell slot (no action required).
