Base Class: Wizard
Understanding and mastering the forces that draw bodies of matter together or drive them apart, the students of the Graviturgy arcane tradition learn to further bend and manipulate the violent energy of gravity to their benefit, and the terrible detriment of their enemies.
Level 3: Adjust Density
As a bonus action, you can alter the gravitational pull on one creature or object you can see within 30 feet of you for one minute. It must be either a willing creature or an object that isn't being worn or carried.
Choose one of the following effects:
Lighten. Until the effect ends, the target's Speed increases by 10 feet, its jump distance is doubled, and it has disadvantage on Strength ability checks and Strength saving throws.
Heavier. Until the effect ends, the target's Speed decreases by 10 feet, and it has advantage on Strength ability checks and Strength saving throws.
Level 6: Gravitational Convergence
As an action, you designate a 10ft radius area within a space you can see within 100ft of you as an area where gravity is altered for 1 minute. In this 10ft radius area, when creatures enter the space for the first time or start or end their turn there, they must make a Strength saving throw, or take 5d6 force damage and be restrained. Targets take half damage and is not restrained on a success.
A creature can repeat the save at the end of it's turn, escaping the radius on a success.
As a bonus action on following turns for the duration, you may cause the converging forces of gravity to press against the creatures within the radius, causing them to make a Strength saving throw and dealing 5d6 force damage to them, or half as much on a success.
Level 10: Orbital Adjustment
You’ve learned to channel sudden gravitational bursts to intensify, or soften, impacts. When a creature you can see within 60 feet of you hits with a weapon attack, you can amplify the force of the blow (requiring no action). The target of the attack takes an extra 1d10 damage of the weapon’s type. Alternatively, if an ally you can see within 60 feet of you is hit with a weapon attack, you can soften the force of the blow (requiring no action). The target rolls 1d10 and subtracts that from the damage total.
Additionally, when a creature within 60 feet of you takes damage from falling, you can intensify the gravitational pull, causing the creature to take an extra 2d10 damage (requiring no action). Alternatively, when an ally within 60 feet of you takes damage from falling, you may soften the gravitational pull, causing the creature to take 2d10 less damage (requiring no action).
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Level 14: Event Horizon
As an action, you can create a field of intense gravitational force that lasts for up to 1 minute or until your concentration ends (as if you were concentrating on a spell). The field radiates from a point you can see within 90 feet of you in a 30-foot radius sphere.
For the duration, when a hostile creature starts its turn in the area, it must make a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, the creature takes 5d10 force damage, and its Speed is reduced to 0 until the start of its next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage, and each foot it moves that turn costs 3 feet of movement. Creatures caught within the sphere cannot effect creatures outside of the sphere.
Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest or expend a spell slot of 3rd level or higher to use it again.
