Base Class: Bard
Bards of this college are not entertainers. They are living proof that the ban failed.
They carry fragments of outlawed pop magic in their voices. Wherever they perform, memory loosens, silence cracks, and crowds remember how to feel together.
The gods call them agitators.
History calls them inevitable.
Level 3: Forbidden Refrain
You learn two Resonance spells from the Resonant-exclusive list. These count as Bard spells for you and do not count against spells known.
When you cast a Bard spell using a musical or vocal component:
-
Add your Charisma modifier to one damage roll or healing roll of the spell
-
Divine creatures affected by the spell have Disadvantage on their next saving throw before the end of their next turn
The gods hear every note.
See spell list in the DM's possession.
Level 3: Crowd Memory
When you use Bardic Inspiration, choose one effect based on the emotional tone of your performance:
-
Defiance: The target may reroll a failed saving throw
-
Joy: The target gains temporary hit points equal to the Inspiration die + your Charisma modifier
-
Heartbreak: The next creature the target hits has Disadvantage on its next attack roll
If at least three creatures can hear or see your performance, the Bardic Inspiration die increases by one size.
Pop magic scales with witnesses.
Level 6: Unlicensed Harmony
Choose one spell from any class list of a level you can cast.
-
This spell counts as a Bard spell for you
-
You may cast it without material components if flavored as song, rhythm, or emotional release
-
Casting it creates a detectable Resonance ripple that alerts divine forces within 1 mile
If you cast this spell in front of a crowd, you gain Advantage on your next spell attack or increase your spell save DC by +1 until the end of your next turn.
Level 6: Silence Is Not Obedience
You may cast Bard spells while under the effects of silence.
-
Spells manifest through vibration, movement, or shared emotional pressure
-
Divine creatures concentrating on silence effects must make a Constitution save or lose concentration
Silence is a suggestion. You decline.
The Last Chorus
Once per long rest, you may begin a Final Performance as a bonus action. It lasts for 1 minute.
While active:
-
Allies within 30 feet add your Charisma modifier to one roll per turn
-
Enemies have Disadvantage on saves against charm, fear, and emotion-based effects
-
Divine creatures lose Legendary Resistance while they can perceive you
If you drop to 0 hit points during this performance:
-
The effect continues until the end of your next turn
-
One ally may immediately use Bardic Inspiration without expending it
The song always finishes.
See the DM for full description of The Final Performance.
