Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Warriors of the Arcane Hand have trained their bodies and souls to be attuned to the weave of arcane magic. They can harness those cosmic energies and use them to fuel their martial practices. Monks of this tradition, although not mageborn, have gained control over the rawest and most natural forms of power.

Level 3: Spellcasting

3rd-level Warrior of the Arcane Hand feature
You have learned to cast spells.

Cantrips. You know three cantrips: True Strike and two other cantrips of your choice from the Wizard spell list.

Whenever you gain a Monk level, you can replace one of your cantrips, except True Strike, with another Wizard cantrip of your choice.

When you reach Monk level 10, you learn another Wizard cantrip of your choice.

Spell Slots. The Arcane Hand Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your level 1+ spells. You regain all expended slots when you finish a Long Rest.

Prepared Spells of Level 1+. You prepare the list of level 1+ spells that are available for you to cast with this feature. To start, choose three level 1 Wizard spells.

The number of spells on your list increases as you gain Monk levels, as shown in the Prepared Spells column of the Arcane Hand Spellcasting table. Whenever that number increases, choose additional Wizard spells until the number of spells on your list matches the number in the Arcane Hand Spellcasting table. The chosen spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For example, if you’re a level 7 Monk, your list of prepared spells can include five Wizard spells of level 1 or 2 in any combination.

Changing Your Prepared Spells. Whenever you gain a Monk level, you can replace one spell on your list with another Wizard spell for which you have spell slots.

Spellcasting Ability. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for your Wizard spells.

Spellcasting Focus. You can use your Monk weapons as a Spellcasting Focus for your Wizard spells.

Level 3: Erudite Education

3rd-level Warrior of the Arcane Hand feature
You gain proficiency in the Arcana skill. Whenever you make an Intelligence ability check, you gain a bonus to the check equal to your Wis. modifier (minimum of +1)

Level 3: Eldritch Flurry

3rd-level Warrior of the Arcane Hand feature
When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one of the attacks with a casting of one of your cantrips that has a casting time of an action.

When you use your Flurry of Blows, you can cast a spell with a casting time of 1 action as a Bonus Action instead of making Unarmed Strikes.

Level 6: Arcane Empowerment

6th-level Warrior of the Arcane Hand feature
While you are concentrating on a spell, you add twice the spell’s level to the damage rolls of your Unarmed Strikes and attacks made with Monk weapons.

Level 11: Focus Power

11th-level Warrior of the Arcane Hand feature
Whenever you cast a spell, you can expend Focus Points to increase the level of the spell as if you’d cast the spell using a higher level spell slot. You must use a spell slot as normal to cast the spell, then expend 1 Focus Point for each level you increase the spell in this way. You can increase the spell’s level higher than your highest-level spell slot to a maximum level equal to your Proficiency Bonus.

Level 11: Spell Resistance

11th-level Warrior of the Arcane Hand feature
You have Advantage on saving throws against spells and magical effects, and you have Resistance to the damage of spells and magical effects.

Level 17: Meditative Casting

17th-level Warrior of the Arcane Hand feature
Whenever you start casting a spell, with a casting time of 1 Action, you can expend Focus Points equal to the spell’s level to modify it so that it doesn’t require Concentration. If you do so, the spell’s duration becomes 1 minute, or it’s maximum duration (whichever is shorter) for that casting.
