Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Butcher bees have developed a unique adaptation compared to the average bee, feeding off of animal flesh as opposed to the pollen of flowers. To facilitate this the bees will try a build a hive near or on a successful predatory animal. The Butcher bees can sense when a creature is aggressive as a learned behaviour in response to the imminent bloodshed, and will follow a potential host until the queen decides to the host is suitable or not. This unique behaviour has been harnessed by some barbarians as an aid to combat and survival.

Level 3: Swarming rage

Using Reckless attack on a creature whilst raging causes you take your rage damage as necrotic damage as the bees feast, and will swarm the targeted creature for 1 minute. The bees can be dispelled by using calm emotions on the creature or by the creature using an action to calm themselves. Swarmed creatures will take 1 x your rage damage when making an attack roll or a spell attack roll for a spell not requiring concentration.

If a creature dies whilst swarmed their corpse becomes a Butcher hive for 1 turn for every 10 maximum hit points the creature had. For each Butcher hive within 10 feet of you when ending your turn you can heal 1 x your rage damage

Hive defence

At level 6 you can choose to resist one damage type either necrotic, acid or poison for the duration of your rage.

Ragivoric swarm and host

At level 10 you and the swarm become more voracious.

Walking hives:

Creatures taking damage from being swarmed within 10 feet of you will heal you equal to the damage they take.

Frustration frenzy:

Swarmed creatures will now take an additional 1 x your rage damage when they miss a creature with an attack or spell, or if a targeted creature succeeds in a spell save against the Swarmed creatures spell that completely negate the spells effect e.g. Example 1: If a Swarmed creature casts hold person on a creature and the creature succeeds in the saving throw, the Swarmed creature will take 1 x your rage damage. Example 2: If a Swarmed creature made an attack roll against a creature and missed the creature it would 2 x your rage damage

True host

At level 14 whilst raging you gain all the resistances provided by Hive Defence and all instances of rage damage caused by the Butcher Bees, including the rage damage dealt to yourself when using reckless attack whilst raging, are doubled.
