The Way of Deliverance is a cultural legacy consisting of dance, acrobatics, music, and spirituality. Over time, it developed into a martial art as a way for enslaved people to fight back against their oppressors. Way of Deliverance schools teach martial arts as well as the cultural traditions of their ancestors. Practitioners believe it is important to preserve history so that others may learn from it.

Student of History

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the History skill if you don’t already have it. Otherwise, you gain Expertise in History. You also gain proficiency with one type of instrument of your choice.

Ancestral Technique

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you learn the following ki features. In addition, you can use your legs and feet instead of your arms and hands for unarmed strikes, and when doing so you may use the next Martial Arts die (up to d12 from d10) when rolling damage.

Ginga

You gain +1 bonus to your AC as long as you have 1 or more unspent ki points and your speed is greater than 0.

Bênção

When you use the Martial Arts feature to make an unarmed strike as a bonus action, you can attempt to drive the target back instead of using the Stunning Strike feature. If the target is your size category or smaller, it must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, you push the target up to 15 feet away from you.

Rasteira

When you use the Martial Arts feature to make an unarmed strike as a bonus action, you can attempt to knock the target down instead of using the Stunning Strike feature. If the target is your size category or smaller, it must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, you knock the target prone.

Esquiva

When you use the Patient Defense ki feature, regain 1 spent ki point at the start of your next turn.

When you use the Step of the Wind ki feature, regain 1 spent ki point at the start of your next turn.

Spiritual Awakening

At 6th level, your connection to the ancestral techniques imbues you with spiritual energy. You learn the following ki features.

Axé Empowerment

As an action, you may spend 2 ki points to cast enhance ability without providing material components.

Spiritual Vision

As an action, you may spend 2 ki points to cast see invisibility without providing material components.

Aura of Community

As an action, you may spend 2 ki points to cast calm emotions.

Improved Ancestral Technique

At 11th level, you learn the following ki features.

You are immune to the Prone condition as long as you have 1 or more unspent ki points and your speed is greater than 0.

As an action, you may spend 2 ki points to cast see invisibility without providing material components.

Queixada → Armada → Meia Lua de Compasso

When you use the Flurry of Blows ki feature, you may spend 2 additional ki points to make those attacks with advantage instead of using the Stunning Strike feature. If both attacks hit, the target makes a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature becomes blinded and deafened until the end of your next turn.

Ancestral Mastery

At 17th level, you learn the following ki features.

Ginga Mastery

Your Ginga ki ability provides an additional +2 bonus to your AC as long as you have 1 or more unspent ki points and your speed is greater than 0.

Light of Freedom

You and friendly creatures within 60 feet of you are unaffected by difficult terrain, and spells and other magical effects can neither reduce the affected creature's speed nor cause the affected creature to be paralyzed or restrained. Affected good aligned creatures can also spend 5 feet of movement to automatically escape from nonmagical or magical restraints.

Justice for All

Whenever you hit an evil aligned creature with an unarmed strike, ignore any damage resistances or immunities of that creature, and you may deal radiant damage instead of your unarmed strike’s normal damage type. In addition, that creature makes a Wisdom savin
