Base Class: Bard
Bards of the College of Medicine are physicians, surgeons, and battlefield medics who apply knowledge, timing, and morale to keep others alive. Their magic reflects practiced technique, psychological reinforcement, and precise intervention rather than divine power.
Medical Cantrip
You learn the Spare the Dying cantrip.
It counts as a bard cantrip for you and does not count against the number of bard cantrips you know.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you join the College of Medicine at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Medicine and Herbalism Kit.
If you are already proficient in Medicine, you instead gain proficiency with Poisoner’s Kit.
Bedside Manner
When you use Bardic Inspiration, the creature that receives the inspiration also gains one of the following benefits (your choice):
-
It gains temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1), or
-
It has advantage on the next saving throw it makes before the end of its next turn
You choose the benefit when you grant the Bardic Inspiration die.
Advanced Triage
Emergency Treatment
When a creature you can see within 30 feet is reduced to 0 hit points, you may use your reaction to stabilize it.
If you do so, the creature also regains hit points equal to one roll of your Bardic Inspiration die.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Efficient Care
Whenever you restore hit points to a creature using a bard spell, you can add your Charisma modifier to one roll of that spell’s healing (minimum +1).
Master Physician
Sustained Treatment
- When you restore hit points to a creature, you may choose one of the following additional effects:
- The creature regains additional hit points equal to your bard level at the start of its next turn
- The creature has advantage on Constitution saving throws for 1 minute
- One disease or one poison affecting the creature ends
You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Refuse to Let Them Die
When a creature you can see within 30 feet would be reduced to 0 hit points, you may use your reaction to instead reduce it to 1 hit point.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
Professional Detachment
Your training has hardened you without dulling your compassion.
You gain:
Immunity to the frightened condition
Advantage on saving throws against being charmed
Additionally, when you roll initiative and have no Bardic Inspiration dice remaining, you regain one die.
