Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Warmongers are fervent devotees of the war gods who choose the Path of the Warmonger, a calling forged in blood and conflict. Masters of brutal close-quarters combat, they revel in crashing into the enemy ranks, punishing their foes with overwhelming force. Their own bodies become weapons, fists, shoulders, and sheer momentum unleashed with savage intent. As the clash of battle rises, Warmongers cast aside fear and restraint, surrendering themselves wholly to the intoxicating fury of war, where rage becomes strength and destruction becomes devotion.

Warmonger Disposition

When you choose this path at 3rd level, you gain the ability to use both Retaliation and Grappling feature below:

Retaliation - While you are raging, a creature takes piercing damage equal to constitution modifier if hits you with a melee attack while in your weapon's reach.

Grappling - Additionally, when you use the Attack action to grapple a creature, the target takes piercing damage equal to constitution modifier if your grapple check succeeds.

At level 14, your Retaliation and Grappling feature counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

At 20th level, you add your strength modifier to damage for both Retaliation and Grappling feature.

Reckless Abandon

Beginning at 6th level, when you use Reckless Attack while raging, you also gain temporary hit points equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1). They vanish if any of them are left when your rage ends.

Warmonger Charge

Beginning at 10th level, you can take the Dash action as a bonus action while you are raging. If you move at least 10 feet straight toward a target and then hit it with a melee attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 4 (1d8) damage, increased by one dice per ten feet (max of 3d8 damage). If the target is a creature of up to one size larger than you, it must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. DC is 8+proficiencyBonus+strengthMod.

Violent Retribution

When a creature within your weapon's reach hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to make a weapon attack against the attacker.
