Base Class: Monk
Thunder Breathing is a technique developed by expert swordsmen long ago. It infuses the power of thunder and lightning into different methods of attack with the intent to defeat opponents with slashes faster than the crack of thunder, and with the power of a strike of lightning.
Total Concentration Breathing
Starting at 3rd level, you have unlocked the use of Total Concentration Breathing, a breathing technique used for increasing strength, speed, and healing capabilities. As you breath deep you can increase the oxygen to your lungs beyond normal capacity and increase the oxygen in your blood. This gives you the ability to use Second Wind once per short rest.
Those who follow the path of Thunder Breathing gain proficiency with the long sword, which also acts as a Monk weapon.
Thunderclap and Flash
At 6th level, you extend your ki into your Longsword, generating high levels of electricity and thunder into attacks made with the sword.
Thunderclap and Flash: As a bonus action, you can expend 3 Ki points to add 1d8 Thunder Damage into the next single attack made with your Longsword. You can expend up to 6 Ki points, adding 1d8 for each point spent above 3. This attack propels you forward in a straight line, up to your maximum movement speed, hitting any creature you choose within 5 feet. Make separate attacks for each creature you choose to attack within this line.
If you kill any creature caught within this attack, you regain 2 Ki Points, and all attacks of opportunity against you are at disadvantage during the movement of this attack.
Lightning Ball
At 11th level, you gain the ability to augment your weapons further with your ki. As an action you can expend 8 Ki Points to take 3 attacks against a single target, at advantage, with each attack doing an additional 2d8 Lightning Damage.
This ability can only be used once per long rest.
Thunderous Instincts
At 17th level, your mastery of Thunder Breathing has honed your instincts to a point. Once per day, if you fall unconscious with at least 3 Ki Points remaining you can immediately expend those to use Thunderclap and Flash as a reaction before being completely taken by unconsciousness.
