Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

In the sugar wilds of Sucrosia, some rangers form a bond not with fang and fur, but with living sweetness itself. The Glades answer their call with a companion born of crystal sap, caramel marrow, and fey memory.

Candy Trail Wardens do not tame beasts.

They are chosen by confection.

Their companions are not pets. They are partners — shaped from Sucrosia’s magic and bound by survival.

Confection Companion

You magically summon a primal confection that takes the form of a beastly guardian. This companion manifests as one of the following:

  • Gumdrop Hound (keen senses, swift pursuit)

  • Caramel Cub (steadfast defender, resilient and grounded)

  • Peppermint Raptor (fast striker, sharp and precise)

Use the Primal Companion (Beast of the Land) stat block from Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything. The creature’s appearance reflects its confection form, but its statistics remain unchanged.

Your companion:

  • Is a Fey creature instead of Beast (flavor only).

  • Understands the languages you speak.

  • Takes its turn immediately after yours.

  • Acts as described in the Beast Master feature.

When your companion drops to 0 hit points, it dissolves into drifting sugar and can be resummoned as described in the original feature.

The sweetness remembers you.

Sweetbound Coordination

Your bond deepens, and your Confection Companion strikes with fey precision.

When you command your companion to take the Attack action, its attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

When either of you falters, the other steadies, your movements guided by shared instinct.

Sugarstorm Assault

You and your Confection Companion move as one.

When you take the Attack action on your turn, your companion can make two attacks instead of one.

Your coordinated strikes resemble a swirling storm of crystal shards and caramel force — relentless, synchronized, beautiful.

Sovereign of the Glades

Your bond becomes unbreakable.

When your Confection Companion would be reduced to 0 hit points, it can instead drop to 1 hit point instead.

Additionally, while you and your companion are within 10 feet of each other, neither of you can be Charmed or Frightened.

The sweetness refuses to let go.

You and your companion stand as pillars of the wild places — proof that survival in Sucrosia is not about dominance, but devotion.
