Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Warlocks who bind themselves to The Glutton’s Eyes do not simply wield a weapon, they carry a living, manifested bond. Two blades circle them like vigilant wings, striking where their will reaches and guarding them with precision. These blades are not forged in any mortal fire, but born from a bloodline’s power.

The Glutton’s Eyes answer to intention with hunger. They lash outward in sweeping arcs, split into angles that harass distant foes, and whirl into storms of steel that shape the space of a battlefield. To fight along side them is to fight along side a hunger that refuses to let go. Those who master this pact move with a strange, decisive grace. In the highest expression of their bond, a warlock’s steel and sorcery become indistinguishable, the twin wings flaring into a style that exudes inevitability.

Expanded Spell List

The Glutton's Eyes let you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Glutton's Eyes Expanded Spells

Level 1: The Glutton's Eyes

You gain proficiency with martial weapons.

Whenever you finish a long rest, you can touch one weapon that you are proficient with that deals slashing damage and lacks the two-handed property. When you attack with that weapon, you can use your Charisma modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for attack and damage rolls. This benefit lasts until you finish a long rest.

As a bonus action, you can manifest the Glutton’s Eyes. A second blade, matching the one you have touched, is summoned and the two orbit around you. You are considered unarmed while these blades are summoned, and cannot wield a weapon or shield in either hand. You can dismiss the Glutton's Eyes as a bonus action.

While manifested, the blades have a reach of 10 feet. When making a weapon attack with them during your turn, you can impose disadvantage on yourself to Overextend, increasing it's reach by 10 feet for that attack.

Level 6: Hungering Techniques

You learn to harness the Eyes’ hunger to perform quick techniques. While the Glutton's Eyes are manifested, you gain access to the following techniques.

  • Stalking Sabre. As a bonus action, choose one creature you can see within 60 feet. Make one ranged weapon attack with the Glutton's Eyes against the target creature. You don’t add your ability modifier to the damage of this attack.
  • Guarded Orbit. When you take damage from an attack, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage by 1d8. The reduction becomes 2d8 at level 14.
  • Blaze Strike. As an action, you can make a single melee weapon attack with the Glutton's Eyes. On a hit, the attack deals an additional 1d8 fire damage. If the attack was an Overextend attack, this damage becomes 2d8 fire damage instead.

You can use one of these techniques once per short rest. On a hit with an Overextend attack, if you have no remaining uses of these techniques, you regain a single use.

Level 10: Whirling Shredder

You learn to fuse your blades into a whirring saw and launch it through the battlefield.

As an action while the Glutton’s Eyes are manifested, you create the shredder at a point on the ground you can see within 60 feet. The shredder lasts for 1 minute, and requires concentration (as if concentrating on a spell). It ends early if you are incapacitated or if you dismiss it as an action or bonus action.

The shredder creates a 10-foot-radius, 5-foot-high cylinder of difficult terrain for hostile creatures.

A hostile creature that enters the shredder’s area for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there must make the same save, taking 3d6 magical slashing damage on a failure, or half on a success.

As a bonus action on your turn, you can move the shredder up to 15 feet along the ground to a space you can see within 60 feet of you. If the shredder moves into the space of a creature through this movement, they have advantage on their Dexterity Saving Throw against the shredder this turn.

While the shredder persists, your blades are committed to it. You cannot make weapon attacks with the Glutton’s Eyes, or use abilities that require require them to be manifested.

You can use this ability once per Long Rest, or by expending a pact magic spell slot.

Level 14: Twin Wing Forma

You can fully embody the Glutton’s Eyes, wielding steel and sorcery in the same breath.

While the Glutton’s Eyes are manifested, you can wield an additional weapon in one of your hands.

Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack using the Glutton’s Eyes, you can immediately make one weapon attack with your wielded weapon as part of the same action. You don’t add your ability modifier to the damage of this attack.

Twin Wing Techniques

While the Glutton’s Eyes are manifested, you gain the following techniques.

  • Searing Lunge. When you take the Attack action and choose to attack with your wielded weapon, you can teleport up to 10 feet to an unoccupied space. You can choose to do this either before or after the attack. If you teleport this way, that attack deals an extra 1d8 fire damage on a hit. You can use this ability once per turn.
  • Ravenous Reversal. When a creature you can see misses you with an attack, you can use your reaction to make a weapon attack with the Glutton’s Eyes against that creature.
  • Winged Cleave. When you take the Attack action, before you roll to attack a creature, you can choose to declare the attack a Winged Cleave attack. Choose a second creature you can see within 10 feet of the original target. Make an attack roll against the creature with the higher AC. On a hit, the other creature takes half the damage dealt by the attack. If the attack was an Overextend attack, both creatures take full damage. This ability takes up two uses of Twin Wing Techniques.

You can use one of these techniques twice per short rest. Whenever you land a critical hit with the Glutton's Eyes as a part of an attack action, you regain one use. The number of uses cannot ever exceed two uses.
