Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Fighters who walk the path of the Iron Breacher treat firearms not just as ranged armaments, but as brutal close quarters bludgeons. By seamlessly weaving bone shattering melee strikes with point blank gunfire, you execute explosive combos that completely shatter enemy defenses. As an Iron Breacher, you are a devastating frontline anchor, using overwhelming kinetic force, suppressive intercept fire, and tactical recoil to rip open vulnerabilities and set up your allies for the killing blow.

Iron Breacher Arts

You have trained to use firearms not just as ranged weapons, but as brutal close-quarters bludgeons.

  • You gain proficiency with all Firearms, and you ignore the Loading property of firearms you wield.
  • You can treat any Firearm as a Melee Weapon. If the firearm is magical, these melee attacks also count as magical, and you apply the weapon's magical bonus to your melee attack and damage rolls. Its damage and properties depend on the type of firearm:
    • One-Handed Firearms: Deal 1d8 Bludgeoning damage and gain the Light property.
    • Two-Handed Firearms: Deal 1d10 Bludgeoning damage and gain the Heavy property.
  • You can use your Strength modifier for the attack and damage rolls of both the melee and ranged attacks you make with your Firearms.
  • When you use a firearm to make a melee attack, you can apply its inherent Weapon Mastery property to the strike.

Powder Combo

You master a devastating fighting style: battering the enemy to ruin their stance, then immediately firing a heavy-caliber round into the opening.

  • Point-Blank Blast: If you take the Attack action and make a melee attack with your firearm, you can use your Bonus Action to make a ranged attack with the firearm against a creature within 5 feet of you. You do not suffer Disadvantage on this ranged attack from being within 5 feet of a hostile creature.
  • Combo Finisher: If you hit a creature with both a melee attack and  a Point Blank Blast attack on the same turn, the concussive blast deals an extra 1d6 Piercing damage and completely shatters their guard. The target cannot take Opportunity Attacks until the start of your next turn, and the very next attack roll made against that target by an ally has Advantage.

Kinetic Momentum

You use the massive recoil of your combo finishers to violently propel yourself through the chaos of the frontline.

Whenever you successfully trigger your Combo Finisher, the kinetic blast propels you. You can instantly move up to 15 feet without provoking Opportunity Attacks as part of that same Bonus Action.

Your relentless exposure to deafening blasts and gunpowder makes you immune to the Deafened condition, and you gain Resistance to Fire damage.

Suppressive Intercept

You constantly keep one eye on your allies, ready to interrupt an enemy's attack with a perfectly timed, heavy-caliber shot.

  • When a creature you can see within 30 feet of you makes an attack roll against a friendly creature, you can use your Reaction to fire a disrupting shot at the attacker.
  • The attacker must subtract 1d6 from their attack roll. If this causes the attack to miss, the sheer physical impact of the heavy round knocks the attacker Prone.
  • You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Strength modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.

Point Blank Obiliteration

Your combo loop reaches a terrifying apex, physically blowing the enemy's defenses wide open for your team to exploit.

  • Whenever you trigger your Combo Finisher on a creature, the point-blank gunshot fundamentally compromises their armor or natural hide.
  • The target gains Vulnerability to the very next instance of damage it takes from a source other than you before the start of your next turn.

Flawless Rythym

Your mastery of the firearm combo is absolute, freeing up your movement and reflexes entirely.

  • You no longer need to use your Bonus Action to trigger your Point Blank Blast. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a melee attack using your firearm, you can immediately make a Point Blank Blast attack against them as part of the same Attack action.
