Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Rogues who follow the Inquisitive path train in investigation and psychology. They have an acute sense of details, and can see through people's intents to find weak points to exploit wheither it is to find information or to physicly or mentally destabilize them.

Level 3: Level 3: Eye for Detail

You gain proficiency in Investigation. If you are already proficient in Investigation, you gain expertise in that skill.

Level 3: Level 3: Insightful Fighting

As a bonus action, you make an Insight check against a creature you can see that isn't incapacitated, contested by the target's Deception check. If you succeed, you can use your Sneak Attack against that target even if you don't have advantage on the attack roll, but not if you have disadvantage on it.

While your Insightful Fighting feature applies to a creature, your Sneak Attack damage against that creature increases by 1D6.

This benefit lasts for 1 minute or until you successfully use this feature against a different target.

Level 3: Level 3: Reverse Psychology

If you succeed an Insight check against a creature, you gain Reverse Psychology against it until its next short rest. If you succeed by a minimum of 10 points the Insight check, the effect persists until the creature's next long rest. If you succeed it by a minimum of 20 points, the creature stays under the effect until it takes a full week of complete rest (doing only light activities and taking long rests every night).

The effect ends early if you fail an Insight check against the creature.

You can maintain this effect on a number of creatures equal to your Wisdom modifier. If you want to affect another creature, you need to discard the Reverse Psychology on a creature already under its effect. You can do it freely when you affect the new creature.

While a creature is under your Reverse Psychology, you can add your Wisdom modifier to all your Persuasion and Intimidation checks against it.

If you make an Intimidation or Persuasion check against multiple targets, the Wisdom modifier only applies to those under the Reverse Psychology effect.

Level 9: Level 9: Steady Eye

You gain advantage on any Perception or Investigation check if you move no more than half your speed on the same turn.

Level 9: Level 9: Weakness Analysis

You gain the following Cunning Strike option :

Weak Point (Cost: XD6)

The score needed for a Critical Hit against this target lowers by half the number of Sneak Attack dices spent for this Cunning Strike (rounded down).

You can spend a maximum of 6D6 for this Cunning Strike, and its effect lasts for 1 minute, or until you use Weak Point again.

Level 13: Level 13: Unerring Eye

  • As an action, you sense the presence of illusions, shapechangers not in their original form, and other magic designed to deceive the senses within 30 feet of you, provided you aren't blinded or deafened. You sense that an effect is attempting to trick you, but you gain no insight into what is hidden or into its true nature.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

  • You can read lips.

Level 13: Level 13: Mind Games

Your Reverse Psychology bonuses now also apply to your Deception checks.

Level 17: Level 17: Eye for weakness

When your Insighful Fighting applies on a creature, your Sneak Attack damage against that creature increases by an additional 2D6.

Level 17: Level 17: Master of the Minds

You gain advantage on your Intidimation, Persuasion and Deception checks against all the creatures under your Reverse Psychology effect.
