Way of the Sky Lord

Rangers who follow the Way of the Sky Lord are masters of the skies. They strike from above with precision, command the battlefield with presence, and move like predators born to dominate wind and cloud. This path celebrates all Werelord hawks, whether royal, storm-born, or mountain-bound.

Level 3: Predator’s Strike

 

• When you hit with a weapon attack while flying, you can roll one additional damage die once per turn.

• If you descend at least 15 ft toward your target before hitting, the extra damage increases by 1d6.

 

Level 3: Commanding Presence

 

• You gain proficiency in Intimidation or Persuasion (your choice). If your already proficient, you gain expertise in that skill

• Allies within 10 ft of you gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls while you are in Hybrid Form.

 

Level 7: Winged Tactician

 

• When you take the Attack action in Hawk Hybrid Form, you can make one additional unarmed strike with your Wing Claws as a bonus action. you can do this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per short or long rest.

• You have advantage on saving throws to avoid being knocked prone or forcibly moved while flying.

 

Level 11: Sky Ambush

• While flying, when you hit a creature with a weapon or natural attack, you can mark it as prey.

• Attacks from you or your allys against the marked target until the end of your next turn deals an extra 1d8 necrotic damage.

• You can mark a number of creatures equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1) per long rest.

 

Level 15: Monarch of the Skies

 

• In Hybrid Form, you can use a bonus action to invoke Sovereign Decent:

  • All creatures of your size or smaller within 30 ft must make a Strength saving throw (DC = 10 + proficiency bonus + Dex or Cha modifier) or be knocked prone as you dive from the skies. Usable once per long rest.
