Base Class: Druid
Druids of the Circle of Entelechy: Reid see the natural world as one great, living circle of relationships—roots entwined, branches reaching toward one another, every creature a friend worth tending. They are the studious caretakers and loyal mediators who debate the philosophies of balance, natural law, and harmony while quietly making sure no one in their grove (or party) is left behind. Responsible and dependable to a fault, they juggle the needs of many allies, often stretching themselves thin to spend time with everyone who matters.
Level 3: Circle of Entelechy Spells
When you reach a Druid level specified in the Circle of Entelechy Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.
| Druid Level | Circle Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Charm Person, Heroism |
| 5 | Aid, Zone of Truth |
| 7 | Beacon of Hope, Tongues |
| 9 | Death Ward, Divination |
Level 3: Careful Reasoning
Your mind is ever attentive, weighing outcomes and reading the room.
- You gain proficiency in Insight and History, or another of your choice if you already have them.
- You can use your Wisdom modifier in place of Charisma for Persuasion checks when appealing to reason or empathy.
- Once per short rest, when you or an ally within 30 feet fails an ability check, you can use your reaction to allow them to reroll, representing your calm guidance or last-minute insight.
Level 3: Mindform
When you join this circle, you learn to channel your Wild Shape inward — reshaping thought and focus rather than body.
As a bonus action, you can expend a use of Wild Shape to enter a Mindform, a meditative state lasting 10 minutes, unless ended as a bonus action or if you are incapacitated. While in your Mindform:
-
You emanate a Zone of Attunement (15 ft radius). Within it, allies (including you) can use a bonus action on their turn to transfer one concentration spell or effect between themselves — for example, you can pass your Flaming Sphere to an ally who maintains concentration instead, or take over their Spike Growth.
-
You gain advantage on concentration saving throws, but taking psychic damage automatically ends Mindform.
Level 6: Loyal Bonds
You can take a magic action to choose a number of creatures you see within 60 feet, to a total of your Wisdom modifier, and grant each creature a specialized buff of your choice.
- Withhold: That creature cannot gain hit points or temporary hit points for the duration, but receives a +2 bonus to their AC.
- Embolden: That creature can add your wisdom modifier to one damage roll they make once per turn for the duration.
- Stifle: That creature gains advantage to the next amount of d20 tests equal to your proficiency bonus for the duration.
- Promise: That creature has advantage on ability saving throws, death saving throws, and ability checks for the duration when they are facing you.
- Protect: That creature gains a number of temporary hit points equal to your druid level if they end their turn within five feet of you within combat for the duration.
You cannot give the same buff to more than one creature. This feature lasts for 10 minutes or until you're incapacitated. You can also dismiss it (no action required). You can do this once per long rest, or if you expend a spell slot of level 3 or higher to restore it on the same action you cast it.
Level 10: Shared Burden
You’ve learned to harmonize chaos through shared resolve.
While in your Mindform, you can use your reaction when a creature in your Zone of Attunement takes damage to split that damage between yourself and that creature (before resistances). You take at least 1 point of the damage type dealt.
Whenever you split damage this way, both you and the ally gain temporary hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier at the start of your next turn (as the bond fortifies you both).
Also, you learn to shape your Zone of Attunement like a thought — it can become a 60-ft-long 5-ft-wide line, or a 40-foot cone instead of a radius, allowing tactical precision. The radius form of your Zone of Attunement now stretches to 30 feet.
Level 14: Thesis of Harmony
After years of reflection, you’ve written your “thesis” on balance — and can share its insight magically.
Whenever you activate Loyal Bonds or Mindform, you can enter your Thesis State while that feature is ongoing. While active, you can choose a state, and can swap them as a bonus action on future turns.
- Argumentative Thesis: Any creature affected by your Loyal Bonds or Mindform feature can forego their bonus action to allow another player to use their bonus action immediately, even outside their turn.
- Expository Thesis: Whenever a creature affected by your Loyal Bonds or Mindform feature rolls a natural 1 or natural 20, you can use your reaction to reflect that energy: if it was a 1, you turn it into a natural 10; if it was a 20, you empower yourself with a free 1st-level spell slot or Wild Shape use.
- Analytical Thesis: You cannot make weapon attacks, but your spellcasting becomes preternaturally precise: when you cast a spell that targets only one creature, you can choose to redirect it to a different valid target within range as part of the casting.
- Comparative Thesis: You cannot make spell attacks, but your melee attacks becomes magically enhanced: when you miss on an attack roll, you can spend a reaction to automatically succeed on the attack roll and deal the maximum amount of damage. When you do so, your allies lose the buffs of whatever other features you have active until the start of your next turn.
When Thesis State ends, you gain one level of exhaustion unless you spend 1 minute quietly meditating.
