Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

prerequisites-large shield, 16 strength, and 14 constitution.

Level 3: The moving wall

Any ally within your movement speed you're allowed to take a reaction and block the attack. If the enemy rolls below your ac the attack doesn't hit but if they do hit you they also can knock you prone. You can also use your reaction to use shield bash, this attack also doesn't provoke opportunity attacks. If you fail hitting the enemy you are left vulnerable and the enemy can make an opportunity attack and also knocks you prone

Level 3: Shield Bash

you have to 2 hand your massive shield, but in return you can attack using it. You can slam your shield against the enemy dealing 8(1d10+3 bludgeoning) and if you rolled 3 above the enemy's ac you knock them prone (this only applies if the enemy is one size bigger or below).

Level 3: charge

You can charge at your enemies with half your movement speed, invoking a constitution saving throw with a DC of 10 + strength modifier + proficiency bonus (max of 4). If the target fails they take 2d8+3 bludgeoning and deals an additional 1d10 of damage if the target runs into a wall. If the target fails the save by 5 or more and don't run into a wall they wall to the floor and are knocked prone. If the target succeeds they only take 1d8+3 bludgeoning and are only pushed 5 ft away instead of your half movement speed.

Level 7: impenetrable defense

You enter a defensive stance where you can't be moved, grappled, or paralyzed and you gain an additional +3 ac while in this stance. The caveat is you cannot move and can only attack within a 5 foot radius with shield bash. This is a reaction and takes a reaction to exit it too.

Level 10: The Connection Between Protector and His Shield

With this connection you are able to do three things

Shield Summon
With this you can throw your shield anywhere and can either summon it back at you using a bonus action or gravitate toward it using a bonus action. (Throwing the shield at enemies deals 3d8+4 bludgeoning damage but throwing it cost an action)

Shield Bond

This is a reaction you can take when you're hit with an attack. You can automatically half the damage of any attack of your choosing. You can use this as many times as your con mod (minimum 2)

Shield Slam

You can slam your shield into the ground, sending waves 15ft in every direction. This invokes a constitution saving throw with a DC of 10 + con mod + proficiency bonus. On a failed save the target takes 25 (4d10+5) and you can also add your con or strength modifier to the damage. If the target fails by three or more they're frightened until the start of their next turn. On a success the target take 15 (2d10+5) damage and no status effect is inflicted.

Level 15: Shadow of the Fortress

You can select on object within your movement speed and you set a 10 feet circle barrier around the object and you act as the barrier. If anything tries to attack the barrier they have to roll you're ac plus your con modifier to hit the object inside the barrier. This also disables your movement but you also gain resistance to all physical damage types. The enemies also gain disadvantage on saving throws and attacks when trying to hit you or the object inside. The barrier also has a protective shell, causing any enemy who hits it take 3d10+5 bludgeoning or piercing damage.

Level 18: The Devourer

You're shield now has 2 modes that take a bonus action to switch between.

The devourer-This ability allows you to take a reaction when there is physical contact with your shield to try and swallow or eat whatever made the attack. This invokes a constitution saving throw of 10+con mod+ proficiency bonus. If the target fails the saving throw they have the grappled condition and take 4d10 of damage every round until the third round where they get swallowed. When they get swallowed they take 8d10 of damage every round.

The Usurper-When any attack (including spells) hits the shield with an ability (for spells it's just the spell itself) you temporary gain the ability and for 3 rounds you can use it as many times as u want regardless of spell slots or limiters. This also includes weapon attacks made with feats such as great weapon master.
