Base Class: Bard
Crystalline Aegis
When you or a creature you can see within 30 feet is hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to grant that creature a +2 bonus to AC against that attack, potentially causing it to miss.
Whether the attack hits or misses, shimmering crystal briefly forms around the target, granting them a +1 bonus to AC until the start of their next turn.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Crystal Constructs
As a bonus action, you may expend one Bardic Inspiration die to create a Crystal Construct within 30 feet. The construct lasts for 1 minute or until destroyed.
The construct occupies a 5-foot space, is semi-solid, and has:
-
AC: 10 + your proficiency bonus
-
HP: twice the number rolled on the Bardic Inspiration die
You can only maintain one construct at a time. When created, choose one form:
Crystal Weapon
Your next spell attack on a creature within 5 feet of the construct, before the start of your next turn, gains a bonus.
On hit: damage equals the Bardic Inspiration roll + your Charisma modifier (force damage).
Crystal Shield
A creature within 5 feet of the construct gains temporary HP equal to the Bardic Inspiration roll + your Charisma modifier when you summon it.
Crystal Platform
Creates a stable surface that can support up to 500 pounds, allowing climbing, cover, or elevation. It chosen for cover, it applies full cover. It has a fly speed and can be placed in the air.
On subsequent turns, you can use your bonus action to move the construct 30 feet and repeat its effect.
Refractile Spotlight
As a bonus action, you refract shimmering crystal light onto a creature you can see within 60 feet, marking them with a radiant prism for 1 minute. The effect ends early if you are incapacitated. You can use this feature once per short or long rest.
While a creature is under your Refractile Spotlight:
-
The creature sheds dim light in a 10-foot radius of prismatic crystal light.
-
Attack rolls made by creatures other than the target against it have advantage once per turn, as the shifting light exposes openings in its defenses.
Harmonic Duplication
Your mastery allows multiple crystal manifestations.
-
You may maintain two constructs simultaneously with the expenditure of an additional Bardic Inspiration die.
-
As an action, both constructs may strike simultaneously, each making a melee spell attack. On hit, each deals force damage equal to your Bardic Inspiration die + Charisma modifier.
If both constructs attack the same target, the creature must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone as the crystals converge.
