Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Rushing Gale move like violent windstorms—unseen one moment, striking the next. Their ki flows like air currents, allowing them to dash across battlefields, strike multiple foes in passing, and vanish before retaliation. Practitioners often train on high cliffs, in mountain temples, or wherever the wind roars loudest.

Level 3: Gale Deflection

When a creature misses you with a melee attack, you may use your reaction to move 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.

If this movement takes you out of the creature's reach, it becomes off-balance, giving the next attack against it advantage before the start of its next turn.

Level 6: Windblade Technique

As a bonus action you spend 2 ki points and while active:

  • Your unarmed strikes deal extra force damage equal to your Wisdom modifier.

  • If you score a critical hit, the target takes an additional Martial Arts die of force damage.

Very “cutting wind” martial arts vibe.

Level 11: Eye of the Gale

As a bonus action, spend 3 ki to enter this state for 1 minute.

While active:

  • Your speed increases by 20 feet

  • You ignore difficult terrain

  • When a creature misses you with an attack, you may move 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks

This makes the monk feel untouchable and constantly repositioning.

Skybreaker Kick

Once per turn when you hit with an unarmed strike, you may release a violent blast of wind.

The target takes 3 Martial Arts dice of force damage and must make a Strength saving throw.

On a failure:

  • It is launched 15 feet

  • Falls prone

Great for dramatic battlefield repositioning.
