Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Some barbarians develop an obsessive hatred toward the elderly after being humiliated, cursed, or tricked by an old spellcaster, priest, or leader. These warriors dedicate their lives to destroying those who have lived too long and learned too many tricks.

For the purpose of this subclass, an Elder is a creature that visibly shows advanced age and has lived at least two-thirds of the normal lifespan of its species. Creatures that do not age biologically cannot be considered Elders. The DM has the final say.

This subclass is often taken only after a traumatic encounter with a powerful Elder.

Level 3: Avoid the Old

Starting from 3rd level, when you can see an Elder, you may focus on its movements.

You gain +2 AC against one Elder you can see.
You can change the target at the start of your turn.

Level 3: Rage Against the Elderly

Starting from 3rd level, while you are raging, you gain the following benefits against Elders:

  • You gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls against Elders.

  • You have advantage on Strength checks against Elders.

  • Your Rage does not end early if at least one Elder is within 30 feet.

Additionally, you can use a bonus action to study a creature you can see within 60 feet and learn whether it qualifies as an Elder.

Level 6: Mighty Nap

Starting from 6th level, you have mastered the secret resting techniques of old people.

Once per long rest, you can fall asleep for 1 minute.
At the end of the minute you regain:

2d12 + your Constitution modifier + your Barbarian level

Additionally, you can complete a short rest in 10 minutes instead of 1 hour (once per long rest).

You suffer no penalties from sleeping in poor conditions.

Against Elders:

  • Your weapon attacks score a critical hit on 19–20.

  • If you already crit on 19–20, you crit on 18–20 instead.

You also gain advantage on Perception and Insight checks against Elders.

Level 10: Distrust the Old

You instinctively resist the tricks of the elderly.

Starting from 10th level, you gain additional benefits:

You gain advantage on saving throws against spells cast by Elders.

When an Elder casts a spell within 30 feet, you may use your reaction to make an Intimidation check.
The caster must succeed on a Constitution save against your check result or the spell fails.

You can use this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

  • You gain +4 damage

  • You gain temporary hit points equal to your Barbarian level at the start of each turn

4d12 + twice your Constitution modifier + your Barbarian level

While sleeping this way, you have resistance to all damage.

Level 14: Eternal Youth

Starting from 14th level, you gain additional benefits:

  • You age at half speed

  • You cannot be magically aged

  • You suffer no penalties from old age

  • You always appear in your physical prime
