Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of Lightning do not necessarily wield literal powers of electricity, but instead figuratively embody it through explosive speed. They hone all parts of their body to perfectly move as quickly as possible, not only can their legs carry them across deserts and above mountains in mere seconds, but they can throw out attacks at a nearly blinding pace. Their speed typically manifests due to some form of extraplanar power, perhaps it appears as streaks of lightning emerging from you, trails of fire from your feet, a beam of light from your back, sketches of yourself predetermining your actions, or maybe you really are just that fast.

Lightning Fast

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level you can use your Step of the Wind feature without expending a ki point. You can also choose to expend a ki point to instead triple your movement speed and jump distance. You can choose to expend two ki points at 11th level to quadruple these. You can also make one unarmed strike as a bonus action without expending ki points, this increases to two at 11th level.

Momentum

When you reach 6th level, you learn to take advantage of the momentum gained from your speed. The first unarmed strike you make after moving in a straight line towards a creature is increased depending on how far you moved, 1d6 for 30 feet, 2d6 for 60 feet, 3d6 for 120, and 4d6 for 240, adding another 1d6 for every 1000 feet beyond that. You can also make three unarmed strikes instead of two when using your Flurry of Blows feature, this increases to four at 17th level. You can also choose to use an action and 2 ki points to continue building up your speed, but only if you moved in a straight line this turn. If you do this, your base movement speed becomes half of however far you moved this turn until the end of your next turn.

Speed Blitz

When you reach 11th level, your speed becomes nearly impossible to see. Whenever you move at least 120 feet in one round you become invisible. A creature with a passive perception higher than your dexterity score is not affected by this invisibility. You can also use an action and 3 ki points to cast haste on yourself without the need for concentration, or verbal, somatic, or material components.

Godspeed

When you reach 17th level, you have mastered the art of movement. This allows you to carry a person you are grappling with you at no penalty to your speed. You can also use a reaction to cause a creature you were within 5 feet of during your last turn to move 5 feet in any direction, causing the attack made against them to miss, and all attacks against them to be made with disadvantage until the start of their next turn. Additionally, whenever you are under the effects of the haste spell you also gain an additional bonus action and an additional reaction, and can use an action to expend 4 ki points to cast the freedom of movement spell on yourself without the need for verbal, somatic, or material components.
