Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Mind Spike channel eldritch power into their consciousness, projecting their will into the minds of others. Their strikes bypass the physical, manifesting as psychic force, while their connection to the void grants them defensive insight and the ability to distort reality itself. Through disciplined focus, they reshape both battlefield and mind.
Way of the Mind Spike
At 3rd level, you adopt the Way of the Mind Spike. Your training allows you to channel psychic energy through your strikes and manipulate reality through focused will.
Horrors of the Void
As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point to project a 10-foot radius aura for 10 minutes, until you are unconscious, or until you end it as a bonus action.
While active:
- You can make unarmed strikes against creatures within the aura without physically touching them.
- Your unarmed strikes use your Intelligence modifier for attack and damage rolls, and deal psychic damage.
- Your Ki save DC becomes: 8 + PB + Intelligence modifier
At 11th level, the aura increases to 15 feet.
Void Touched Defense
Your Unarmored Defense is replaced:
While not wearing armor or a shield, your AC equals
10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Intelligence modifier
Mind Spike
When you hit a creature (not a construct or undead) with a psychic unarmed strike, you can spend 2 ki points to force a Wisdom saving throw.
On a failure:
- The target is affected by confusion for 1 minute (no concentration required)
At the end of each turn, it can repeat the save to end the effect.
Spread Its Will
As a reaction, when you would use Patient Defense, Step of the Wind, or Quickened Healing, you can instead grant the effect to a willing creature within 30 feet.
Uses = Intelligence modifier (min 1), regained on long rest.
Shatter Reality
As an action, create a 20-foot radius gravitational black hole within 90 feet.
Creatures entering or starting their turn inside must make a Strength save:
- Fail: 3d10 force damage + pulled 10 ft toward center
If reduced below 20 HP by this damage:
- The creature is disintegrated (revived only by true resurrection or wish)
You must concentrate and spend 1 ki at the start of each turn to maintain it. You can move it 10 feet when you do.
Ends if:
- You lose concentration
- You don’t spend ki
