Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of the Celestarium study the subtle structures that govern chance, consequence, and destiny. Through tarot decks, runic stones, bone dice, or other symbolic instruments, these bards learn to subtly manipulate destiny, adjusting its outcome to their favor, or to a foe's detriment.

A Celestarium bard does not seek constant advantage. Instead, through whispered omens, fleeting signs, and moments of impossible coincidence, they learn to tug at the threads of fate. They cannot see the whole pattern nor are they meant to. But in critical moments, they peer just enough into the  can pull.

PLAYING A CELESTATIUM BARD
The College of the Celestarium rewards foresight and timing. Using Bardic Inspiration reactively, you decide when fate should bend in small but meaningful ways. You are strongest when you commit to pivotal moments, not when you spread your influence thin.

Celestarium Omens are designed to create singular turning points, not persistent advantages.

Silver Tongue

3rd-level College of the Celestarium feature

You are a master at saying the right thing at the right time. When you make a Charisma (Persuasion) or Charisma (Deception) check, you can treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.

Unsettling Words

3rd-level College of Eloquence feature

You can spin words laced with magic that unsettle a creature and cause it to doubt itself. As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration and choose one creature you can see within 60 feet of you. Roll the Bardic Inspiration die. The creature must subtract the number rolled from the next saving throw it makes before the start of your next turn.

Omens of the Loom

6th-level College of the Celestarium feature

You gain access to a set of mystical Omens that allow you to subtly influence fate, motion, and outcome in moments of consequence. Each Omen is tied to a specific trigger and can be invoked on a target within 60 feet using your Reaction when that trigger occurs and by expending a use of your Bardic Inspiration.

The Omens available to you are presented in the Celestarium Table of Omens below. You may only select an Omen available to your Bard Level.

The Celestarium Table of Omens

6

Minor

When a creature within 60 feet that you can see makes a d20 Test, you can grant Advantage on that roll.

6

Stall

Minor

When a creature within 60 feet that you can see moves at least 5 feet on its turn, you can reduce its movement speed by half until the end of it's current turn.

6

Parry

Minor

When a creature within 60 feet that you can see makes an attack, you can force it to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, it must choose a different target within range or the attack is wasted.

10

Echo

Major

When you or an ally within 60 feet that you can see casts a single target spell of 3rd level or lower, you can use your Reaction to cause the spell to also affect a second valid target within the spell’s range. After you use this Omen, you become fatigued. You have Disadvantage on all saving throws until the end of your next turn.

10

Expose

Minor

When a creature within 60 feet that you can see takes damage from an attack or spell cast by you or an ally, you can use your Reaction to cause that creature to lose resistance to the damage type dealt by the triggering attack or spell until the start of the creature's next turn.

10

Warp

Minor

When an ally within 60 feet that you can see takes damage, you can use your Reaction to swap its position with another creature within 30 feet of it. An unwilling creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be moved.

14

Deflect

Major

When a creature within 60 feet that you can see casts a single target spell, you can use your Reaction to attempt to redirect it. The creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or you choose a new target of your choice for the spell within 30 feet that you can see. On a success, you become the spell’s target instead.

14

Transfer

Major

When an ally within 60 feet that you can see hits a creature with an attack, you can use your Reaction to allow that ally to immediately make one additional attack. After doing so, you are Incapacitated until the start of your next turn.

14

Tether

Major

When an ally within 60 feet that you can see would be reduced to 0 hit points by damage, you can use your Reaction to redirect the killing blow. You divide the triggering damage among up to two willing creatures within 30 feet of the original target, including yourself.

Fate Ascendent

14th-level The Weaver Patron feature

When a creature succeeds on it's saving throw against one of your Omens, you do not expend that Omen use.

Additionally, when you use a Major Omen and it succeeds, you may immediately use one Minor Omen on the same Reaction without expending another Bardic Inspiration.
