Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

In Solkarath, not every silk strangler is a perfumer, but many perfumer-rogues borrow from their methods. The stranglers of Seraqet are said to steep their cords in rare oils: some to numb the skin, some to quiet panic, and some to leave the slain smelling of lotus and amber rather than sweat and fear. Among the noble houses, such killers are never publicly acknowledged. They are “attendants,” “veil-bearers,” or “keepers of the private chambers.” Among the undercity and market shadows, they are known by harsher names: silk ghosts, lotus hands, and the breathless. A rogue perfumer trained in that tradition does not overpower a foe. They isolate, haze, veil, and still them—until the final movement is all but inevitable

Perfumer Tools

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with alchemist’s supplies and the herbalism kit. If you already have proficiency with either of these tools, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan’s tools of your choice.

Aromatic Vials

You also prepare a number of aromatic vials equal to your proficiency bonus when you finish a long rest. These vials lose their potency when you finish your next long rest. The saving throw DC for your aromatic vials equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier.

Veiling Vapors

You can see normally through the cloud created by your Choking Aromatic. In addition, immediately after you use your Aromatic Vials feature, you can move up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks. Finally, you can attempt to hide when you are obscured only by mist, smoke, or vapor.

Assassin's Silk

When a creature within 30 feet of you fails a saving throw against one of your Aromatic Vial effects, or when you deal Sneak Attack damage to a creature within 30 feet of you, you can use your reaction and expend one aromatic vial to lash that creature with treated silk cords. The target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be restrained until the start of your next turn. If the creature needs to breathe, it also can’t speak or provide verbal components while restrained in this way. On a successful save, the creature’s speed is halved until the start of your next turn.

Grand Perfumery

When you use your Aromatic Vials feature, you can apply two different vial effects at the same time, expending only one vial. You choose targets and points of origin for each effect separately. In addition, when you roll initiative and have no aromatic vials remaining, you regain one vial. You also gain resistance to poison damage, and you are immune to the poisoned condition.
