Bard
Base Class: Bard

A student of the college of the companion is trained to offer companionship and succor to those deemed worthy. Companions are skilled in the arts of conversation, entertainment, and lovemaking. How Companions choose to employ their arts is a purely personal choice. Some are exclusive courtesans and escorts, some ply their wits in the salons and courts of the powerful, others seek a worthy hero to serve as a confidant and squire.

Companion Training

3rd-level College of the Companion feature
You gain proficiency with the Performance and Persuasion skills. If you are already proficient with any of those skills, you add double your proficiency bonus on checks you make using it.

Inspiring Companionship

3rd-level College of the Companion feature
When you take a long rest, you can choose to share your companionship with one willing creature of your choice. If that creature shares your companionship for the duration of the rest, it becomes inspired, gaining Inspiration and gaining the following benefits for the next 24 hours:
• The creature has advantage on saving throws against being frightened.
• The creature’s current and maximum hit points increase by 5 for every 3 levels you have in this class.
• The creature becomes charmed by you and is immune to the charmed condition from other sources while it is charmed by you.
• When the creature uses a Bardic Inspiration die provided by you, is affected by your Song of Rest class feature, or you roll dice to determine the beneficial effect of a bard spell on the creature, it may treat the result of one die of such a roll as being as the greater of the actual result or your Charisma modifier.

Winsome Smile

3rd-level College of the Companion feature
You can use your reaction when a creature within 30 feet attacks you to flash a friendly smile to distract it. If the attacker can see you, it must make a Wisdom saving throw against your Bard spell save DC. On a failed save, the attacker becomes Charmed by you until the end of your next turn or until you do anything harmful to it.

On a successful save, you can’t use this feature on the attacker again until you finish a long rest. You cannot use this feature on a creature you have attacked during the current combat.

Encouraging Performance

6th-level College of the Companion feature
When you start a Countercharm performance all affected creatures gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier. When you grant a Bardic Inspiration die to a creature affected by your Countercharm performance, all other creatures affected by the performance gain a d4 that they can use in the same manner as a Bardic Inspiration die. After 10 minutes, targets lose any remaining temporary hit points or Bardic Inspiration dice granted by this feature. A creature can have only one Bardic Inspiration die at a time.

Hero's Succor

14th-level College of the Companion feature
When you use your Inspiring Companionship feature the target is also cleansed of all diseases, curses, and effects causing its hit point maximum to be reduced, becomes immune to being cursed or frightened, and gains advantage on all Wisdom saving throws. These benefits last for 24 hours and are in addition to the Inspiring Companionship benefits.
