Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Warborn Apex barbarians are warriors who have transcended the need for augmentation, relying instead on perfected instinct, physical dominance, and an unrelenting drive to prove themselves in battle. Often shaped by brutal pasts or transformative rebirths, they fight with a singular purpose: to seek out worthy foes and overcome them through sheer force of will.

In combat, they grow more dangerous with every victory, adapting through experience rather than design. To a Warborn Apex, strength is not given — it is earned, tested, and proven in the heat of battle.

Level 3: Apex Instinct

Your body operates on pure predatory instinct.

You gain advantage on initiative rolls. Additionally, you can’t be surprised while you are conscious.

While you are raging, difficult terrain doesn’t cost you extra movement.

You also gain proficiency in the Perception skill. If you are already proficient in Perception, you instead gain expertise in that skill, allowing you to double your proficiency bonus for any ability check you make with it.

Mark of Worthy Prey

As a bonus action, you can mark one creature you can see within 60 feet of you as your worthy prey.

For the duration of your rage, you gain the following benefits against the marked creature:

You deal an extra 1d6 damage to the target when you hit it with a weapon attack. This extra damage increases to 1d8 while you are raging.

You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Wisdom (Survival) checks made to locate or track the target.

If the marked creature drops to 0 hit points before your rage ends, you can move up to half your speed without provoking opportunity attacks and immediately mark a new creature within range as part of the same reaction.

Worthy Foe. At the DM’s discretion, if the marked creature is significantly more powerful than you, you gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls against it.

You can use this feature once per rage.

Warborn Arsenal

Your physical dominance allows you to wield any weapon with brutal efficiency.

You gain proficiency with all weapons, including improvised weapons and firearms.

In addition, when you make an attack with a heavy firearm, you can use your Strength modifier for the attack and damage rolls instead of Dexterity.

Level 6: Predator's Resilience

Your body adapts in the midst of battle.

While you are raging, when you take damage, you can use your reaction to choose one of the following:

•You gain resistance to that instance of damage and to that damage type until the start of your next turn.

•You reduce the damage taken by 1d12 + your Constitution modifier.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Warstep. Once per rage, when you use this feature, you can move up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.

Level 10: Warborn Momentum

You build unstoppable momentum in combat.

You gain a momentum stack each time you score a critical hit or reduce a creature to 0 hit points while you are raging.

You can have a maximum number of momentum stacks equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 2).

Each momentum stack grants you the following benefits:

•A +1 bonus to attack rolls

•An increase of 5 feet to your movement speed

When you reach your maximum number of momentum stacks, you gain advantage on the first attack roll you make on each of your turns while raging.

All momentum stacks are lost when your rage ends.

Level 14: Apex of The Hunt

You embody the pinnacle of predatory combat.

Relentless Predator

When you are reduced to 0 hit points while raging, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. When you do so, you can immediately make one melee weapon attack as part of the same reaction.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Duel of Legends

While a creature is marked by your Mark of the Worthy Prey, if no other hostile creatures are within 10 feet of you or your marked target, you gain the following benefits against that target:

•You have advantage on attack rolls against it.

•Your weapon attacks deal an extra 1d8 damage to it.

Roar of the Apex

As an action, you can unleash a terrifying roar.

Each creature of your choice within 20 feet of you that can hear you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or become frightened of you until the end of your next turn.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Predator’s Mobility

While you are raging, you gain a climb speed equal to your walking speed, and your long jump and high jump distances are doubled.
