Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Some rogues steal gold. Others steal lives.

You steal blood.

Whether by curse, ritual, or a bargain gone wrong, your very life essence has awakened with a dark will of its own. You are a Bloodveil Reaper — a living weapon who can shape your blood into blades, coat your weapons in crimson death, and bend your life force into deadly tools of murder.

Whispers speak of rogue assassins who bleed black in moonlight, of hooded killers whose blood moves like serpents, and of masters who can turn a single drop into a storm of razors.

You walk the line between predator and prey. Every cut you make feeds your power… but every drop spilled brings you closer to becoming something far worse than human.

Level 3: BloodLash

Bloodlash. (two weapons at a time max) As a bonus action, you cut your hand allowing you to use your blood in one of two ways (dealing 1d8 -CON damage):

  • Create a Blood Weapon. You shape your blood into one of the following forms. The weapon lasts for 1 minute or until you dismiss it (no action required). You are proficient with any weapon created this way, and it counts as a finesse weapon for the purpose of Sneak Attack and damage.

    • Blood Greatsword — Melee weapon (reach 5 ft.) that deals 2d6 necrotic damage + your Dexterity modifier on a hit.
    • Blood Dagger (light) — Melee/Thrown weapon (reach 5ft) (range 20/60 ft.) that deals 1d6 necrotic damage + your Dexterity modifier on a hit.
    • Blood Bow — Ranged weapon (range 80/320 ft.) that deals 1d8 necrotic damage + your Dexterity modifier on a hit. You do not need ammunition.
  • Coat an Existing Weapon. Choose a melee or ranged weapon you are holding that matches one of the types above (greatsword/longsword for slashing melee, dagger for thrown, bow/crossbow for ranged). The chosen weapon becomes magical for the duration and gains the following benefits:

    • Its weapon damage is converted to necrotic damage.
    • It counts as a finesse weapon for the purpose of Sneak Attack.

Level 9: Crimson Grasp

When you hit a creature with a weapon affected by your Bloodlash (either created or coated), you can expend the use of your Sneak Attack to heal equal to your Sneak Attack die and attempt to restrain it with congealing blood. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier) or be restrained until the start of your next turn.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Level 13: Blood Step

As a bonus action, you can teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. When you arrive, you can immediately use Bloodlash (create or coat) as part of the same bonus action.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Level 17: Blood Mastery

Your control over your blood reaches its peak:

  • All weapons created or coated by Bloodlash are now finesse, light, and thrown (range 20/60 ft.).
  • You can use your Cunning Action to activate Bloodlash (create or coat) instead of taking the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action.
  • You can activate Bloodlash (create or coat) as a Bonus action during the Attack action, even during Extra Attack (by still using your Bonus Action inbetween attacks).
  • You can have as many Bloodlash weapons created at once as you’d like (still last 1 minute)
