Tactical Insight

3rd-level Child of Athena feature

Your martial prowess is guided by the divine wisdom of your mother. You gain the following benefits:

  • Calculated Strike: You can use your Wisdom modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for the attack and damage rolls of your weapon attacks.

  • Student of the Goddess: You gain proficiency in Insight and History. If you already have proficiency in one of these, you gain expertise in it.

  • Owl’s Eye: You can use a bonus action to observe a creature within 60 feet. The DM tells you if the creature is your equal, superior, or inferior in regard to one of the following: AC, Current HP, or a Saving Throw bonus of your choice.

The Weaver’s Gambit

3rd-level Child of Athena feature

You possess a pool of Insight Dice, which are d8s. You have a number of these dice equal to twice your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 2). You regain all expended dice when you finish a long rest.

You can expend these dice to fuel Strategic Maneuvers:

  • Predictive Parry: When a creature hits you or an ally within 10 feet with an attack, you can use your reaction to roll an Insight Die and add the result to the target's AC, potentially causing the attack to miss.

  • Vulnerability Identified: When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend one Insight Die to add it to the damage. The next attack roll made against that creature by an ally before the start of your next turn also gains a bonus equal to the number rolled.

  • Tactical Displacement: As a bonus action, you can expend one Insight Die to command an ally. That ally can use their reaction to move up to half their speed without provoking opportunity attacks.

Weaver of Destiny
