Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

The fire genasi walks through the building. Flames of rage and anguish plume off of his body. An ogre charges and slams his fists onto his head, blood trickling from his temple. But yet he stands. The ogre roars as he slams fist after fist into this barbarian, blood splattering across his face, but he doesn't fall. The ogre pushes with all his might to force him to his knees, its feet digging into the dirt underneath. The barbarian finally looks up to the struggling oger, and swings his greatsword into its side. The weight of the blade carries the ogre with it and in shock the ogre is pushed aside, like a childs toy. In horror, the ogre watches as the blade of the tiefling slams against its skull, splitting it in two.

A goblin artificer looks on in shock that the ogre he had sent is toppled over and executed with little difficulty, and that the barbarian is still walking forward, his eyes aglow. The artificer sends his automations towards him, mechanical humanoids and war forge rush forward, rusty shields and spears at the ready. Before the goblin can even count how many machines he had sent to the tiefling, he witnesses the barbarian swing his greatsword, and cleave through one machine, then another, then more, all in one strike. He crunches the metel under the weight of his weapon, and the constructs are left in complete shambles, before he looks up towards the goblin, his eyes unwavering still.

Chanting echo through the inner cave as whisps of dark magic bleed into the air. The cultists had hired a goblin and an ogre to guard their keep and their magic swells in power each second. Suddenly, their hear a thud. They look behind them to see their metel door, with an indent in it. Then another thud, before flickering flames lick the inside the dark cave from the slash in the door. One final crash sends the flying a few feet away from the steps of the ritual circle. There, standing in a flaming pillar, a fire genasi, dripping with blood stand before them. The head mage casts fear onto their intruder. His eyes don't move, his grip doesn't lighten and he walks slowly down the steps, unaffected by the spell. They cast numerous spells to stun him, or even paralyse him, but he walks, no, strolls towards them. The cultists pray to their eldritch god, begging him to strike this monster down. They had killed too many people for all of this to be in vain. But they look behind them, his towering visage so close they can feel the heat from his flames. The head cultist knew one truth in that moment. That the flaming figure that stands before them now, will never fall to his knee, and he maybe never will.
