Paladins of the Withering Mercy serve Morvaen, acting as wardens of disease, decay, and necessary endings. They are not villains—they are the ones who step forward when no one else will, ensuring suffering does not spread beyond control.
They are feared, tolerated, and when the bells stop tolling quietly thanked.

Posted Apr 27, 2026This is a Paladin Subclass i made with my Roommate. This is hopefully around the strength of Oath of Conquest. Morvaen is a Goddess of Decay from my Homebrew World she releases diseases and plagues to help keep the Population in check. She is not considered Evil per say but she does stand in opposition to the Raven Queen. In my World the Raven Queen is the central Deity and she finds undeath to be unnatural because death is sacred and Morvaen helps weaken the world so immortality doesn't spread. But at times Morvaen goes to far the Raven Queen hate unneeded suffering so if Morvaen spreads to far to fast the Raven Queen will fight back with either her Clerics and Paladins or by sending other Dieties to stop the spread of Plague.
