Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of Indulgence is the most recent Paladin Oath to have emerged, few truly know its origins and even fewer know why such power has been devoted to indulgence, hedonism and gluttony. Yet the Oath stands and many a folk have flocked to it for what it preaches appeals to some of the most wayward and dispondant peoples in this world, offering them a chance at greatest without the need for sacrifice.
Though many Paladins of more noble or righteous Oaths look down upon the Indulgent as frivolous fools who lack the qualities needed to be a true Paladin, this has not stopped knightly orders dedicated to this Oath from sprouting up across Faerun. The most notable of which emerged in Waterdeep at a dockside tavern the Mermaid's Arms when a most unlikely of heroes, a fellow by the name of Alvis was met by three local drunks who had heard of his exploits while fighting the Cult of the Dragon. Theses three men were annoited by Alvis as the first of his order of Alviknights, accepting the Oath of Indulgence and spreading it across the city to recruit more knights to the cause.
Since then Paladins of Indulgence have appeared across the realms, pledging to "save" others from their pain by treating them to wonderous feasts, tankards of ale and buckets of wine. Some of these Paladins end up becoming strong warriors just for the simpel thrill of it, while others genuinely believe that they are making the world a better place so that everyone is free to pursue their own passions.
