Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Way of the Weave Sunderer. A monk that understands how to use the ki around them to warp and sunder the weave itself to make their blows as deadly as the sharpest of blades and strongest of spells.

Divergent Fist

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you have enhanced your ability to feel ki all around you, and extend it to that of the weave, and your martial arts now integrate the weave into every strike. Whenever you roll a 4 or higher on your martial arts die when dealing damage, you can temporarily rip the weave to cause harmful energy to overflow into your target, striking them at a delayed rate. At the end of the current turn:

  • The target takes force damage equal to one roll of your martial arts die plus your wisdom modifier.
  • The target's speed is reduced by 10 ft until the end of their next turn.

This effect can only trigger once per attack. If you roll a 4 or higher damage with your martial arts die on multiple attacks against the same target, the target takes additional force damage equal to one additional roll of your martial arts die for each additional time Divergent Fist has triggered.

Weave Rip

At 6th level, you have further developed your ability to rip and tear at the weave around you, and although it is difficult to replicate, there are moments where you perfectly infuse your strikes with the same resonance of the weave, causing you to temporarily rip the weave around your target causing massive damage.

When making unarmed strikes, you now critically strike on a roll of a 19 or 20, and whenever you critically strike a target with an unarmed strike, you add an additional martial arts die to the total damage dealt.

At 11th level, you add two additional martial arts dice to the total damage dealt. At 17th level, you add three additional martial arts dice to the total damage dealt and you now critically strike on a roll of 18, 19, or 20.

Flow State

At 11th level, your manipulation and focus of the weave has become like breathing to you. Whenever you activate Divergent Fist, you can choose to immediately trigger it's effects as opposed to the effects triggering at the end of the turn.

Furthermore, whenever you critically strike a creature with an unarmed strike, you can expend a ki point to enter a heightened state of awareness, where the weave flows through you with incredible ease. Until the end of your next turn, you have advantage on attack rolls using unarmed strikes, and if you expend a ki point to use Step of the Wind, Flurry of Blows, Patient Defense, or Deflect Missiles features, you instead do not spend the ki point.

Weave Sunderer

At 17th level, the weave flows through you as deep as the great seas and you can pluck away the threads of the weave with ease. Your ki points and ki points and ki point maximum increase by 4, and whenever you hit a target with an unarmed strike, you can expend 1 ki point to cast Dispel Magic against the target, using your Wisdom as your spell casting ability.

Furthermore, whenever you critically strike a target, you can expend 1 ki point to sunder the weave around the target. The target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your ki save DC. Upon failure, the target is under the effects of the Anti magic Field spell, as if they were within it's radius, until the end of your next turn.
