Base Class: Barbarian
Some barbarians don't just endure pain, they weaponize it. Those who walk the Path of the Bloodied have learned to channel the vital force flowing through their own veins, sacrificing their health to fuel devastating strikes and terrifying resilience. To the Bloodied, a wound is not a weakness. It is ammunition.
Bloodletting Fury
When you enter a rage, you can choose to sacrifice a portion of your vitality to empower your strikes. You expend hit points equal to twice your Barbarian level. If you do, you gain the following benefits for the duration of your rage:
You deal extra necrotic damage on melee weapon attacks. The amount is 1d6 at 3rd level, 2d6 at 6th level, 3d6 at 10th level, and 4d6 at 14th level.
When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with a melee weapon attack, you regain hit points equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum 1).
Additionally, while raging, you can sustain your rage beyond its normal limits. As a bonus action, you can expend hit points equal to twice your Barbarian level to extend your current rage by 1 minute.
Crimson Reprisal
Your pain sharpens into lethal instinct. While raging, whenever you take damage from a creature within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to make one melee weapon attack against that creature. On a hit, the attack deals additional damage equal to your Constitution modifier.
Scarred Resilience
Years of self-inflicted sacrifice have hardened your body against its own toll. When you activate Bloodletting Fury, you reduce the hit points expended by an amount equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum 1 HP expended).
In addition, while raging, you gain resistance to necrotic damage, and your hit point maximum cannot be reduced by any effect.
Sanguine Frenzy
The thrill of a kill ignites an uncontrollable momentum. When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points while raging, you can immediately move up to half your speed and make one melee weapon attack. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.
Additionally, when you regain hit points from Bloodletting Fury, you add your proficiency bonus to the amount healed.
Mortal Defiance
Your grip on life becomes a weapon in itself. This feature grants two abilities, each usable once per long rest.
Last Rite: When you are reduced to 0 hit points while raging, you can choose to drop to 1 hit point instead. You immediately regain hit points equal to half your Barbarian level (rounded down) plus your Constitution modifier.
Blood Ascendant: When you activate Bloodletting Fury, you can choose to double the necrotic damage dealt for the duration of the rage.
Once you use either ability, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
