Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

The Celestial Wolf Pack archetype embodies a bond between the Ranger and the old legends of wolves told amongst the sun and stars. A Ranger who studied or has been raised in the beliefs of the old stories past down through the verbal stories of their ancestors looks to the stars and sun to empower themselves with the Celestial powers to work and fight against the foes that threaten themselves, and to build their pack.

Celestial Wolf Companion

At 3rd level, you gain an Celestial Wolf companion that accompanies you on your adventures. You have the ability to summon a Celestial Wolf similarly to the Find Steed Spell (2014 rules) at will outside of combat (you may only summon one Celestial Wolf starting at the 3rd level). It is friendly to you and your companions and obeys your commands. Add your proficiency bonus to the Celestial Wolf’s AC, attack rolls, and damage rolls, as well as to any saving throws and skills it is proficient in. Its hit point maximum begins at its normal maximum, for every subsequent Ranger level you gain the Celestial Wolf gains +5 hit point to it hit point maximum (To a maximum of 96 total hit point at the 20th level). Like any creature, the Celestial Wolf can spend Hit Dice during a short rest.

The Celestial Wolf obeys your commands as best as it can. It takes its turn on your initiative. On your turn, you can verbally command the Celestial Wolf where to move (no action required by you). You can use your action to verbally command it to take the Attack, Dash, Disengage, or Help action. If you don’t issue a command, the Celestial Wolf takes the Dodge action. Once you have the Extra Attack feature, you can make one weapon attack yourself when you command the beast to take the Attack action against the same target within 5 ft. of both you and your Celestial Wolf. While traveling through your favored terrain with only the Celestial Wolf, you can move stealthily at a normal pace.

If you are incapacitated or absent, the Celestial Wolf acts on its own, focusing on protecting you and itself. The Celestial Wolf never requires your command to use its reaction, such as when making an opportunity attack.

When the Celestial Wolf drops to 0 hit points, it disappears, leaving behind no physical form. You can also dismiss the Celestial Wolf at any time as an action, causing it to disappear. In either case, you may summon the Celestial Wolf again outside of combat with this skill, which subsequently restores its hit point maximum to its current maximum.

The more levels you invest in the Ranger Class, the more Celestial Wolves you are able to summon.

3rd Level: Summon up to 1 Celestial Wolf

9th Level: Summon up to 2 Celestial Wolves

15th Level: Summon up to 3 Celestial Wolf

Pack Cohesion

Beginning at 7th level, you gain access to the skills Keen Hearing and Smell and Pack Tactics with an additional +2 to any skill checks in your favored terrain and skills related to your  favored enemy. Additionally, if your Celestial Wolf is within 100 feet of you, you can communicate with it telepathically. As an action, you can see through your familiar's eyes and hear what it hears until the start of your next turn during combat or for one hour outside of combat, gaining the benefits of any special senses that the familiar has similar to the Find Familiar spell (2014 rules). During this time, you are deaf and blind with regard to your own senses.

Strength in Numbers

Starting at 11th level, when you command your Celestial Wolf (Wolves) to take the Attack action, they may make two attacks when they are within 30 ft of you or any friendly alley or creature to you. As a reaction for the Celestial Wolf, if you or any alley or friendly creature make a melee attack against a target within 5 feet of the Celestial Wolf, the Celestial Wolf may make one melee attack against the same target.

Magical Bond of the Pack

Beginning at 15th level, when you cast a spell targeting yourself, it also affect your Celestial Wolf (Wolves) with the effect of spell if they are within 30 feet of you. Additionally, you may cast a spell through one of the Celestial Wolves you have summoned as long as they are within 100 ft. of you and not unconscious.
