Base Class: Monk

Monks who follow the Way of Kombat train relentlessly in martial arts, preferring to beat an opponent with their fists and feet rather than weapons. These monks are trained in the art of Mortal Kombat, using their advanced hand to hand skills to deliver fatalities to their enemy.

Trained Kombatant

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your unarmed strikes deal an extra 2D4 damage. furthermore, if you miss an unarmed strike by 3 or less (eg you get a 14 to hit and the enemy AC is 17) the attack is instead treated as a glancing blow, although you do not get the extra 2D4 damage.

Art of Kombat

At 6th level, you gain three Ki Powered martial arts attacks that you can carry out. Each attack requires you to spend 2 Ki Points to do it.

Bicycle kick: You deliver a flurry of flying kicks to a creature.

Flame Kick: You attack a creature with a flaming roundhouse kick.

Frost Punch: You attack a creature with an icy punch.

Mortal Survivor

Beginning at 11th level, you can gain additional hit points during a short rest. When you roll your hit dice, double the total result.

Once you have used this feature it cannot be used again until you complete a long rest.

Fatality

At 17th level, you gain the ability to execute enemies in a brutal fashion. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 3 ki points to attempt a fatality. When you use this action, the creature must make a Dexterity saving throw. If it fails, it is reduced to 0 hit points. If it succeeds, it takes 10d10 bludgeoning damage.
