Base Class: Bard
While most bards play music to entertain themselves and their audiences, bards of the College of Faith play with the intent of spreading the teachings of their chosen deity. Many of the songs that these bards perform are hymn-like in structure and purpose, and these divine performances influence the type of spells that bards of the College of Faith are able to cast. The followers of Milil, the god of poetry and song, make up the wide majority of this college's populace, but there are still a significant amount of bards that align themselves with differing deities as well.
Divine Magic
When you choose to join the College of Faith at 3rd level, you gain access to the cleric spell list due to your status as a messenger of the gods. When your Spellcasting feature lets you learn or replace a bard cantrip or a bard spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose the new spell from the cleric spell list or the bard spell list. You must otherwise obey all restrictions for selecting the spell, and it becomes a bard spell for you.
Blessed Inspiration
Starting at 3rd level, you gain the ability to benefit your allies even further with your Bardic Inspiration. Whenever a creature rolls a Bardic inspiration die that you gave to them, they also regain hit points equal to the amount rolled on the die.
Enchanting Hymn
At 6th level, you learn musical techniques that allow you to more easily persuade other creatures. If you perform a hymn for at least 1 minute, at the end of the performance you may choose a creature within 60 feet of you. The creature must succeed a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or be charmed for the duration. While charmed in this way, the creature has -5 to all Insight checks, and you and your allies have +5 to all Persuasion and Deception checks made to persuade or deceive the charmed creature. This effect ends on the target after 8 hours, if it takes any damage, if you or your allies attack it, or if you use this feature again.
If a target succeeds on its saving throw, the target has no hint that you tried to charm it.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Inspiring Devotion
Starting at 14th level, you can convert your undying devotion into inspiration for your allies. If you use a bonus action to expend a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, instead of casting a spell you may instead use the Bardic Inspiration feature without expending a use of it.
You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
