Break!
3rd-Level Path of the Unleashed Feature
Your rage no longer remains within you. While you are raging, choose either Fire or Psychic damage. The chosen damage type lasts until your Rage ends.
Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon or unarmed strike, the target takes additional damage of the chosen type. The extra damage is determined by your Barbarian level, as shown in the Break! Damage table.
Break! Damage
| Barbarian Level | Extra Damage |
| 3rd–9th | 1d6 |
| 10th–15th | 1d8 |
| 16th+ | 1d10 |
Additionally, the first time each round you damage a creature while raging, that creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become Frightened of you until the start of your next turn.
The saving throw DC equals:
8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Constitution modifier
Hit Me!
Hit Me!
3rd-Level Path of the Unleashed Feature
Your enemies quickly learn that striking you only fuels your wrath.
When a creature hits you with a melee attack that had advantage because of your use of Reckless Attack, you can use your reaction to immediately make one weapon attack against that creature with advantage.
If the attack hits, it deals its normal damage plus the additional damage granted by your Break! feature.
The target then takes additional Fire or Psychic damage equal to half the damage rolled for your Break! damage dice (rounded down).
Choke!
Choke!
6th-Level Path of the Unleashed Feature
Your wrath spills beyond your body, becoming an oppressive aura.
While you are raging, you emit a 10-foot aura.
Whenever a hostile creature enters the aura for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there, it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your subclass save DC or begin Suffocating.
While Suffocating, a creature cannot breathe. At the start of each of its turns, it repeats the saving throw, ending the effect on a success.
A creature can survive a number of rounds equal to 1 + its Constitution modifier (minimum of 1 round) before the lack of air overwhelms it.
If the creature fails to end the effect before that duration expires, it falls Prone and becomes Incapacitated until it can breathe again.
Creatures that do not need to breathe, such as Constructs and most Undead, are immune to this feature.
A creature that succeeds on its saving throw isn't immune to this feature. If it remains within or later re-enters your aura, it must make the saving throw again.
Run!
Run!
10th-Level Path of the Unleashed Feature
As a bonus action while raging, you unleash a horrifying scream that embodies your hatred.
Each hostile creature of your choice within 60 feet of you that can hear you must make a Wisdom saving throw.
On a failed save, a creature takes 4d6 Psychic damage and becomes Frightened of you for 1 minute.
On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and suffers no additional effects.
A frightened creature repeats the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
If a creature is already frightened by one of your Path of the Unleashed features when it fails this saving throw, it instead takes 6d6 Psychic damage, and it makes the saving throw with disadvantage.
At 16th level, the base damage of this feature increases to 6d6, increasing the enhanced damage against already frightened creatures to 8d6.
Wrath Given Form
Wrath Given Form
14th-Level Path of the Unleashed Feature
Your rage can no longer be contained within your body. It tears itself free, becoming a devastating force that sweeps across the battlefield.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of once), regaining all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.
When you use this feature while raging, choose one of the following manifestations.
Cataclysm Cleave
As an action, you swing your weapon with enough force that your manifested wrath mirrors the strike.
Choose a 60-foot-long, 15-foot-wide line originating from you. Make a separate weapon attack roll against each creature in the line.
On a hit, a creature takes the weapon's normal damage plus:
- 6d10 Fire damage
- 6d10 Psychic damage
If this attack reduces a creature to half its hit points or fewer, it must immediately succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your subclass save DC or become Frightened of you for 1 minute.
Wrath Given Form
As an action, your rage erupts from your body as a towering spectral manifestation of hatred before crashing through your enemies.
Choose a 60-foot-long, 20-foot-wide line originating from you.
Each hostile creature in the area must make a Wisdom saving throw.
On a failed save, the creature:
- Takes 8d8 Fire damage.
- Takes 8d8 Psychic damage.
- Becomes Frightened of you for 1 minute.
- Automatically fails the next saving throw it makes against your Choke! feature. If the creature is within your aura when this occurs, it immediately begins Suffocating as though it had failed the saving throw.
On a successful save, a creature takes half as much Fire and Psychic damage and suffers no additional effects.
Once the manifestation reaches the end of its path, it dissolves back into your body.
