Base Class: Bard
A bard who weaponizes mockery and scorn, using insults, ridicule, and humiliating wit as their primary tools rather than inspiring praise. Bards of the College of Derision understand the power that both inspiring and discouraging words can hold over others; they excel in manipulating and exploiting the emotional instability of their foes, using the most vicious mockeries, biting ridicule and antagonistic insults to hurt and hinder their enemies.
Barbed Tongue
3rd-level College of Derision feature
You are a master at saying the perfect thing to get under someone's skin. When you make a Charisma (Intimidation) or Charisma (Performance) check to insult, intimidate, mock, tease or verbally berate a creature who can understand you, you can treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.
Vitriolic Mockery
3rd-level College of Derision feature
You learn the Vicious Mockery cantrip (if you don't know it already) as well as the Vitriolic Mockery variation.
When you cast Vitriolic Mockery as a Magic action, you flaunt your skill of derision, adding a vitriolic burn to the creature, adding 1d6 Acid damage. At level 5, the Acid damage becomes an area effect in a 5-foot radius; the area becomes 10-feet radius at level 11 and 15-foot radius at level 17.
In addition, you can cast Vicious Mockery as a reaction when an enemy you can see and within 60 feet of you misses an attack or fails a saving throw (daily number of uses based on Proficiency Bonus, resets at dawn).
Infuriating Words
6th-level College of Derision feature
Your words are so offensive and infuriating that a creature becomes flustered and begins making mistakes. As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration and choose one creature you can see within 60 feet of you. Roll the Bardic Inspiration die. The creature must subtract the number rolled from the next attack roll it makes before the start of your next turn.
Antagonistic
6th-level College of Derision feature
You always have the Antagonize spell prepared.
In addition, you can cast it once per day without expending a spell slot.
Infectious Infuriation
14th-level College of Derision feature
When you use Infuriating Words, the power of your hurtful words can infect someone else. You need to be able to see the second target and they must be within 15 feet of the first target. Only 1 Bardic Inspiration die is consumed, however it is rolled for each target.
